Welcome to our little slice of heaven, located on Eastern Shores. Named for its' "Tucked In" feel, you will think you are floating on water when you wake up each morning in our studio-style cottage that can sleep up to 4, with a queen bed and pullout couch. Park your boat up to 40’ on the private dock or take the ferry to surrounding islands. Or just relax, enjoy the kayak or swim in the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas. The airport, grocery store and restaurants are just 15 minutes away The space Tucked In is a studio type house with an open floor, without any walls to block the view to the beautiful water! A queen size bed and pullout couch accommodate up to four guests. You will find one bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer inside the unit. You can enjoy drinks or meals inside the unit or just outside under a covered porch. 2 lounge chairs are provided to enjoy the water from the canal side, where you might see a turtle! And to make sure our guests don't miss the absolutely stunning evening sunsets, we have provided 4 adirondack chairs on the deck facing the Sea of Abaco. If you are feeling a little adventurous, explore the area by water in our 2 kayaks and life jackets. Our dock with shore power will allow up to a 40 foot boat. We also provide folding chairs, an umbrella, water shoes and snorkel gear if you decide to visit a neighboring island or beach by car or boat. To make your travels a bit easier, we provide beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and sunscreen. An initial supply of coffee pods, creamer and sugar is provided. Things to see on Marsh Harbour by car 1. Pete’s Pub - down south, approximately 40 min by car. Great food, very laid back, casual, all outdoor eating (much of it covered). Be sure to walk up the wooden walkway to see the ocean. Bring your suit to enjoy the sandy beach. 2. Long Dock - little further south in Cherokee. Worth a stop, beautiful sand and water. Very unique dock. No food. Very remote feeling 3. Treasure Cay/Bahama Beach Club - approximately 45 min. Beautiful sandy beach and water. Outdoor restaurant and bar and bathrooms open to public. Restaurants by personal boat or ferry 1. Pete’s Pub (by personal boat) - Great food, very laid back, casual, all outdoor eating (much of it covered). Hope Town Resort and Marina (by personal boat or by water taxi once you get to Hope Town by Albury’s Ferry)- restaurant, bar, pool open to the public. 5. Firefly Restaurant (by personal boat or by golf cart once you get to Hope Town) - more expensive restaurant but still casual. On the water. Indoor and outdoor seating. 6. Abaco Inn - (by personal boat or by golf cart once you get to Hope Town via Albury’s Ferry) - great breakfast, lunch and dinner. 7. Lubber’s- (by boat only) small, beachy, bar and food. Wood burning pizza on weekends 8. Pineapple Bar and Grill - (by personal boat) on Green Turtle -outdoor, small pool , good burgers 9. Green Turtle Club resort and marina - (by personal boat or Treasure Cay Ferry)- Indoor restaurant. Try the famous Tipsy Turtle drink at the Dollar Bill Bar. (Dollar bills cover every square inch of the walls). Bring a dollar bill, sign it and staple it to the wall or ceiling! 10. Grabbers and Nippers (by personal boat or G and L Ferry) - Grabbers - outdoor covered bar and seating, pizza and bar food, small sandy beach, small pool. Then take a golf cart taxi (bring cash for tips) to Nippers 11. Nippers- on the ocean, BEAUTIFUL view and beach, crystal clear water- covered and open seating, pool, bar food, dance floor. GREAT PLACE TO PEOPLE WATCH especially on SUNDAYS - “Sundays at Nippers!” Things to see and do in Abaco by boat/ferry 1. Hope Town - quaint little town to checkout and walk around. Definitely walk up the lighthouse to see the amazing view from the top. Many food choices - Captain Jacks, Firefly, Hopetown Marina, Abaco Inn, On da Beach 2. Tahiti Beach - very popular for boats to anchor and hang out all day in the water. Busy days and in season, you can buy food and drinks at the Thirsty Cuda. 3. Man ‘O War - 1798 - the first loyalist settlers arrived here. A very conservative island, it is the only dry island around! There is a small shop selling handmade bags made of boat sails 4. Scotland Cay - beautiful small Cay to anchor and enjoy the crystal clear water and beach. Bring your own food and beverages and watch the tides or you could get stuck there 5. Feed the Stingrays - Man Jack Cay- one of the hidden gems in the Abacos - be sure to bring frozen squid and surround yourself in shallow water, where tame, friendly stingrays swirl around you, feeding straight out of your hands. 6. Pig Island - No Name Cay - see the pigs and often babies. Beware, they will go after your food so we recommend tossing any food to them as opposed to hand feeding. Can get bar food and drinks at Big O’s restaurants. 7. Snorkeling Restaurants on Marsh by car 1. Abaco Beach Resort - at Boat Harbour Marina (closest restaurant to tucked In) - 2 dining options - The Terrace- casual covered seating, 2 bars, live music sometimes. The Bistro- fine dining, reservations required 2. Snappas- on water, outdoor, covered. Full bar 3. Wally’s (check hours before you go) indoor and outdoor and bar seating. Full bar. 4. Colors - outdoor, covered - local/ significantly fried food. Karaoke some nights. Full bar 5. Jake’s - indoor only, good food - burgers, wraps, chicken fingers, quesadillas, salads, etc as well as daily specials. Basic beer and wine 6. Jib Room - on water, outdoor, covered. Check schedule for steak and rib night. Full bar. There are others opening but these are the ones we are familiar with.
