Breathtaking views looking over mountains and glaciers. Spa area including a hot tub for the whole group to relax overlooking the countryside. For winter - northern lights can be seen outside if the forecast is positive. Rental License: REK-2024-066781 The space The lodge had three bedrooms and one bath. Bedroom 1: - Bunk bed. Single bed on top and a larger bed on the bottom. Bedroom 2: Bunk bed. Single bed on top and a larger bed on the bottom. Open Bedroom: Only privacy with a paravent/devider. Double bed. Sofa bed: Sofa can be prepared for two persons. Bathroom: Shower and washing machine. Kitchen: Nespresso machine, filtered coffee machine, water boiler, toaster, waffle iron, pots, pans,. oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Outside area: Outdoor furniture has been updated with an outdoor sofa (August 2025). Guest access Guests will have full access to Glacier Lookout Lodge and all its amenities during their stay. The lodge is a private retreat, ensuring a peaceful and relaxing experience in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle. Enjoy exclusive use of the spacious outdoor area, including a private hot tub that is available year-round, a trampoline, and an outdoor barbecue—perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. In the summertime, you can even pick fresh red currants, black currants, and rhubarb from the garden. In the winter months, the hot tub offers a perfect spot to relax and watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky. Meanwhile, during summer, Iceland experiences long days with extended daylight hours, allowing you to explore and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty at any time of day. The lodge is conveniently located near Úhlíð and Laugarvatn, with easy access to Geysir, Gullfoss, and Þingvellir National Park. It’s also a great base for exploring Selfoss, Flúðir, the Secret Lagoon, Fontana Spa, Friðheimar Tomato Farm, and all that Iceland’s stunning South Coast has to offer—from waterfalls and black sand beaches to glacier adventures and scenic drives. Entertainment: A TV with streaming services is available on the second floor, along with a selection of DVDs for a nostalgic movie night.
