The Kilkee Surf School runs surf camps for children aged 9 to 16 at Kilkee and Doughmore beaches every week of the summer holidays and close by is Waterworld which has a range of indoor water attractions including a bubble pool, shower geysers, the 'lazy river ride' and a 61m crystal tower slide. The 18-hole championship golf course is situated on the road towards George's Head and stretches along the spectacular cliffs. Kilkee has a variety of cafés and restaurants specialising in locally caught fish and shellfish and the pubs and bars have regular music competitions, traditional Irish nights, cabaret, dancing and pub theatre.
