It features a stone pier and from here visitors can watch the fishermen as they process the day's salmon and seaweed. There are unspoiled beaches just a short drive away, as well as the beautiful National Park of Connemara and the magnificent Connemara Loop. There are many lakes in the area so it is an angler's paradise, and if fishing is not your thing then there are plenty of walking opportunities to take in the glorious scenery. A little further away are the Aran Islands, and a boat trip across to the islands can give you a taste of traditional Irish life. This area is the perfect place to relax and escape for a while.
