The space La Cumbre is an ecotourism project under construction, which is part of a great dream of luxury cabins in the middle of the forest. We are in the growth stage until we become one of the best tourist attractions in Ibague. This is the first cabin designed and built to provide visitors with a unique experience of relaxation and tranquility, with a viewpoint at the top of the cabin for birdwatching and stargazing. It's only 5 minutes from downtown Ibagué. So without having to leave the city you can enjoy a wonderful experience. Guest access Getting to La Cabaña La Cumbre is very easy! From Calle 19 in the CAI of Calambeo or from Calle 10 towards the Panoptico de Ibagué, head north to the Clarita Botero and La Paz neighborhoods until you reach the bus stop for Routes 2 and 50, where the ascent begins along a section with "correas" (handrails) on the rural road that leads to the El Mirador Tesorito restaurant and the waterfalls. The road is in perfect condition. When you arrive, you will find a house with a stone facade. If you are driving, you can leave your car in the outside parking lot, but a taxi or Uber service is also available at the entrance to the property. On the maps, you can search for the location of the Mirador Tesorito restaurant. The estate is 200 meters before the restaurant. Upon arrival, you can park your vehicle and enjoy an eco-friendly walk of approximately 270 meters along natural trails to the cabin. This tour is part of the experience and allows you to enjoy the scenery, the vegetation, and the natural surroundings. In rainy weather, the ground can be slippery, so we recommend wearing athletic shoes or shoes with good traction. For your convenience, we suggest bringing light luggage or a backpack, as the route is not suitable for large or heavy suitcases. This hike is part of the experience of connecting with nature. Other things to note La Cumbre is located in a completely natural environment, surrounded by mountains, forest and a great diversity of birds and fauna typical of the region. It is normal to hear the singing of birds, insects and other sounds of the countryside, which are part of the experience of staying in nature. Access to the cabin is via an ecological trail of approximately 270 meters approximately, with some sloping sections. For this reason, it is not possible to enter with large wheeled suitcases or very heavy luggage, as the route makes it difficult to transport them and we do not have a means to move them to the cabin. We recommend bringing light luggage or a backpack for more convenient access. For the safety of our guests and the property staff, check-in is only between 3pm and 8pm. After these hours, entry is not possible because some sections of the trail have poor lighting at night.
