Cosy Coastal Cottage close to Beach - pet-friendly

Joan's Cottage is situated on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast in the heart of the charming seaside resort of Charmouth, which is one of the best beaches for finding fossils. Organised fossil hunts run throughout the year. Located on the main street, with private parking, the beach and amenities are within a short walking distance, making it a fantastic location for your holiday on the south coast. The cottage is approx. 400 years old, with lots of character & has been sympathetically decorated & furnished. The Master Bedroom (on the first floor) has a memory foam mattress & has en-suite a second bedroom which has a small double bed is on the ground floor this also has a memory foam mattress and the second bathroom is also found on the ground floor. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN OLD COTTAGE AND HAS STEEP STAIRS TO THE UPSTAIRS BEDROOM. There is a well equipped Kitchen and dining area. Please be aware that as this is an old cottage, the stairs to the master bedroom are quite steep, I have shown a photo. The cottage has private car parking & is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. On arrival a key is located in a key box to enable you to arrive at a time that suits you (after 3.00 pm). Joan's Cottage is for Adults only, we no longer accept Children. There are 2 dog friendly pubs in Charmouth both serving food, the village also has a Chemist, small supermarket, bakery fish & chip take-away which is a few yards from the cottage front door. Everything you need for a self-catering holiday is just outside the front door! Please don't forget to add your dog to your reservation. The cottage is ideally located for visiting local villages and seaside towns, the bus stop is approximately 100 yards from the cottage front door so you can leave your car at the cottage if you don't want to drive. During the summer months there are always village fetes, village shows, street markets etc there's a real buzz about the area, Charmouth is not as busy as Lyme Regis but just as lovely, that's why I live here :-)
