Tons of Perch in the river, so bring some light fishing gear for the kids. 14 mi to Garner State Park and the Frio river. 14 mi to Lost Maples State Natural Area. Just outside of Utopia TX for quick access to grocery store, restaurant and local artisan shops. Sadly, there's a terrible drought right now and not much water in the river. But the view is still beautiful, and you'll enjoy sitting out back with a fire in the pit and listening to the frogs chirp as the sun sets on the other side of the Sabinal river.
