Steepleview Manor
Family home in a nice country setting, on a hillside, with a beautiful view. You will be able to sit back and relax in our beautiful home whose wooden framework is magnificent. Built during the last 10 years, our home offers space and comfort. Rest and relaxation guaranteed. You will find a master bedroom with a large two sink bathroom. The super king bed (180 cm) sits in an atmosphere inspiring peace and serenity. The shower/hammam will welcome you for a moment of relaxation. Still on the first floor is a guest bedroom (EU king bed – 160 cm) and adjacent bathroom with walk-in shower. The magnificent main room includes an open kitchen, a breakfast nook, the long dining room table, and living room where couches and chairs invite guests to converse in a convivial setting. Climbing the beautiful custom-made wooden stairs, you will discover a welcoming loft: on one side, the office where you will be able to settle down while admiring the lovely view; on the other side, a reading corner. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a skylight, a double bed (140 cm) and a small double (120 cm). Across from it, the second bedroom (closing with a curtain and without skylight) includes another small double bed (120 cm). Between these two rooms, you will find a convenient half-bath. And, when you feel like it, step outside on the large wooden deck, breathe deep and relax… Our home is situated a few minutes by foot from the historic town of Excideuil (with its castle, Thursday morning market and small boutiques). Taking in the other direction, beautiful walks in the countryside are awaiting you. A welcoming booklet will explain our home’s secrets. On a small table, you will find a selection of tourist guides and pamphlets to inspire your adventures. We will share with you locations in the area where you could go swimming (pool, river, lakes...). Activities are plenty in Dordogne. Will you go retrace the steps of the prehistoric men (Lascaux, troglodytic villages, parks…) or will you be interested in more recent history (numerous castles, medieval villages…)? Will you explore some caves, abysses, and gardens or will you descend rivers in boats, canoes, or kayaks? There are many options, but the hardest thing will be to choose! Have a good stay in our home!
