Please remember that Samal Island has not yet been developed to its full potential, and that ferry delays, brown-outs (power outages) water brown-outs (no water), and cell phone dead zones can happen. These are an ordinary part of life in many parts of the Philippines. With patience and a sense of humor, you will soon not bat an eyelash when such conditions occur.
