The house is located in Groß Zicker on the Mönchgut Peninsula, one of the most beautiful villages on the island. The thatched – roofs (29a–c) and the lattice windows create a cozy atmosphere and fit in well with the character of the village. First floor: Entrance hall with coat rack and shoe cabinet, underfloor heating, beautifully furnished living-dining room, leather sofa set, coffee table, dining table with chairs, china cabinet, satellite TV, telephone, mirror per person. Crib and high chair. Each unit has its own separate entrance, either to a small garden area or a terrace with patio furniture, some with a double beach chair. Kormoran No. 29 E and Seeadler No. 29D feature an outdoor grill. Storage room with washer and dryer. Parking space or, for larger homes, 2 free parking spaces. Bicycles can be rented by our guests for just €30, and electric bikes for €70 per week, including a charger and electricity. Shopping options: In the village of Groß Zicker, there is a small village store where you can buy fresh rolls and bread. There are also several restaurants. Numerous other restaurants are located within a 20-km radius. Large grocery stores can be found in Baabe, Göhren, and Thiessow. Directions: From Stralsund, take the B 96 via Samtens to Bergen. About 2 km before Bergen, turn right onto the B 196 via Sellin, Baabe, and Lobbe toward Thiessow. It features a terrace and a garden area, a garden grill, patio furniture, a double beach chair, and two free parking spaces—one next to the house and the other approximately 200 meters away at our property at Boddenstr. 17 Living room: First floor and bathrooms with underfloor heating, dish cabinet, satellite TV with approx. 40 channels, VCR, stereo system, CD player. High chair, patio with patio furniture. Description of the island of Rügen and the town of Groß Zicker: The village of Groß-Zicker, located on the Mönchgut Peninsula in the southeastern part of the island of Rügen , is partially designated as a historic preservation area. Most of the houses have thatched roofs. This picturesque little village lies on the Bodden (mudflats) and is about 2 km away from the kilometer-long, snow-white Baltic Sea beaches . There is a regular swimming beach here, a dog beach , and a nudist beach. The historic village street in Groß-Zicker has been restored with natural paving to preserve the historic character of the thatched-roof houses, framed by stone walls and situated in the shade of chestnut trees . Worth seeing in the village is the parish widow’s house, built in 1723, the small fishing harbor, and the old village church with its wooden bell tower. The fishing village of Groß Zicker is nestled between the Baltic Sea, the large reed beds, vast salt marshes, short-grassed pastures, and the Zicker Mountains. These forested ridges are one of the most distinctive landscapes in Germany and a wonderful hiking area. Mönchgut Peninsula:  Located in the southeastern part of the island of Rügen, this peninsula is called Mönchgut because it was cultivated by monks in the Middle Ages and was separated from the main island by adug canal. This part of western Rügen, with its rolling Bodden / mudflat landscape , featuring kilometers of sandy beaches, forest trails, bike paths, and hiking trails , is breathtaking—and it’s no wonder it was designated a biosphere reserve . Today, it is one of the island’s most popular vacation destinations. If you’re looking for a bit more action, the seaside resorts of Baabe, Göhren, and Sellin, as well as the town of Binz, aren’t far away. Many hiking trails lead through beautiful little villages such as, for example, Thiessow, Klein Zicker, Gager, and other small fishing harbors, to the Stone Age graves—or perhaps simply along the Baltic Sea.
