A few steps away you will find all the amenities of the village and access to walking and hiking trails. The space This large foreman's house with green shutters was designed as a space for sharing, at the crossroads of a place of accommodation, creation and meeting. The 6 bedrooms and the studio are composed of works and art objects to collect. During your stay you will enjoy the spacious living room with its library, the large table and the kitchen with all the amenities and utensils. Inside the house, crossed by a beautiful light throughout the day, we have favored natural and durable materials such as wood, terracotta, linen, and furniture found or made exclusively in France, and in the Basque Country. Maison Gamboia is lived inside and out in its vast garden designed for a time of rest or celebration, in the middle of the flowery meadow, fruit trees, vegetable garden and permaculture space dedicated to herbs, edible flowers, perfumes and medicinal plants. Its hilly landscapes of ferns offer a view of the mountains. Its steep streets are lined with half-timbered houses, old Basque farms dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The poet Francis Jammes, a faithful friend of Paul Claudel and Anna de Noailles, lived in one of these houses. Nearby, you will have access to hiking and walking trails or cycling, with views of the Pyrenees. You can go paragliding on Mount Baigura or rafting and canoeing in Bidarray, as well as swimming in the springs and mountain rivers. The small town is close to the thermal baths of Cambo-les-Bains, where the house of the writer Edmond Rostand is located, not far from the village of artisans, the Bastide Clairence, and the prehistoric caves of Oxocellaya. Hasparren is 20 kilometers from Bayonne and the beaches of Biarritz. In 30 minutes, you will reach the Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle path of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port or the Basque Country on the Spanish side via Ainoha or Sare, enchanting villages with many legends.
