Beautiful Bampton Private Studio Barn conversion

A charming converted barn tucked away on a peaceful country lane, just a 10-minute walk from the village. This spacious, self-contained studio has a double bed, comfortable living and dining areas, compact kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. Original stone walls, vaulted ceilings and exposed beams give it plenty of authentic character - a relaxed, genuinely rustic countryside retreat. The space The studio sits within the grounds of a beautiful 16th-century Oxfordshire farmhouse. Completely self-contained, it offers a peaceful and characterful base with its own entrance and en-suite bathroom. Guests can enjoy the large shared garden, surrounded by mature trees and countryside. Please be aware that the grounds include two ponds and a swimming pool, so children must be supervised closely at all times. We occasionally have a dog staying with us in the main house, who may be outside during the day. Guest pets are very welcome but must be kept on a lead in the grounds, as young children may also be playing outside. The setting feels wonderfully secluded. The village is around a 10-minute walk away, although we recommend bringing a car for exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby towns. Guest access Private access to the self contained studio / barn. If we are available we can pick you up from Bampton if you are coming by bus. Park in the main house drive and the studio is in the farmyard, which is after a small yard attached to the house. There is a large Moroccan pot by the door and a small step. Bring a torch if you are arriving at night as it can be a bit dark. Have a lovely time. Other things to note Please be aware that our place is rustic. We, and our guests, think it's very lovely though. It is a barn so if you don't like spiders beware - we do our best to make sure there are none but can't guarantee they won't sneak in. Additionally, there is WiFI but due to where we are it can be very patchy more particularly at busy times . We are usually not available during your stay and are always unavailable after 5.00 pm. But you can contact us by telephone during the day and we'll do our very best to help. Please ask us if you are hoping to bring children. There is only one bed and we are not set up for children and can't guarantee their safety. We have an occasional guest dog who runs free around the grounds of our house. It is very quiet usually here but you might want to bring earplugs if you get disturbed by farm type noise. We are in an isolated spot so unless you are a very keen walker you will need transport. It's about a ten-fifteen minute walk to the village. There are very good pubs, The Double Red Duke and the Mason's arms , to eat in in Clanfield nearby as well as three pubs in Bampton - one or two of which do simple pub food. There are also two cafes and a restaurant - the Market Tavern pub and restaurant with a lovely garden. People say the Morris Clown in the village is great fun. There are lots of other nice pubs within driving distance. Including ones with wonderful food. There is a Coop in Bampton as well as a Post Office and lovely hair salon. You can park either in the farmyard itself or in the Farmhouse drive if there is space. The studio is in the farmyard and a large Moroccan pot is by the door. There are two small gates to go through - through a smaller yard - from the drive to the farmyard and it's advisable to make sure these are closed as they have a tendency to bang in the night if not closed which might disturb you. It's worth noting also that there are sometimes small children staying at the main house. Bring a torch if you remember as the farmyard can be very dark at night. Have a lovely time.
