"The Barn" has all you need, and more. The space As you drive up the long driveway and into your own parking space, the barn farm gate opens into a large, private, fully fenced-in courtyard. With flower pots and hanging baskets, surrounded by large native trees and neighbouring farmland, the outdoor barn courtyard hosts a BBQ and a large rustic firepit with 2 x Adirondack chairs to relax, unwind and take in the fresh country air and sounds of local birds and wildlife. Entry into the barn is through double timber doors and as soon as you enter the unique barn space the warmth and homeliness envelopes you. Furnished with quality, neutral furnishings and surrounded by vast natural light, the large picturesque windows feel like you are amongst the trees and natural landscape. The large loungeroom has a super-sized L shaped modular couch with an array of luxurious cushions facing a sizeable smart TV with access to Netflix, Stan and main stream channels. The corner hosts an impressive old style wood burning heater that in winter, completes that cozy feeling in a space you just want to lounge around in. The dining space hosts a solid hand-made timber table with bespoke bench seats set next to a designated work space with desk with a study chair. The large, timber wall cabinet contains various board games and playing cards as well as colouring and drawing materials to allow you to switch off and be present within the now. The kitchen has all that you need and more. Fully equipped with everyday cutlery and crockery it also includes baking equipment, blender, food processor, mixer, coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, platters, knife block set and the lists goes on. Everything you need to cook up a storm to your likings. It even has a Zip sparkling water tap that allows you to drink clean and filtered drinking water, still or sparkling water on tap! The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area is divided by an internal wall that allows the bedroom to be a private space. Luxurious linen drapes over a king size bed that hugs you as you slide between the sheets. It has an open wardrobe with hanging space complete with white fluffy robes and slippers for you to enjoy. The adjoining en-suite has a large walk-in shower with basin, toilet and mirror cabinet and bath sheets that continue the luxurious experience. The Barn has more than you need and is a perfect place for singles or couples to escape and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. (we also have provisions for 1 infant up to the age of 2) . Whether you're visiting for a weekend away or a holiday of a week or more, it is a unique place with a difference within the Mornington Peninsula. Guest access The entire barn and courtyard are completely private and are set away from the main house on the property. Guests have access to the entire space. Other things to note We live in the main house on the property and respect your privacy. We also ask you to respect ours. You may see us out and about on the property ( well away from your private space ). We welcome you to come and say hello but we're also ok if you don't want any interaction. We respect your desire to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of alone time within the privacy of the barn and surrounding area. We will not intrude on your space unless you need anything. If you need us to lend you a bottle of olive oil or a spice for your dish, we're happy to do so. We're here if you need and not here if you need too. * PET BOOKING CONDITION - while we accept up to (2) pets to join you during your stay, your booking with pets is upon the condition that any bills incurred for cleaning/fixing any damage by your pet, will be passed onto you for immediate payment, to return the barn to the same condition in which it was presented.
