The property is surrounded by spectacular scenery, overlooking open countryside to the distant fells. Set off on foot to climb Blencathra or hop in the car to explore the Skiddaw Range. You’ll be just 11 miles from the adventure capital of Keswick, where you can enjoy a variety of walks around Derwentwater or hire a canoe or paddleboard to get out on the lake. The town also has a great selection of independent shops and eateries. The space Beautiful Ullswater is just 12 miles away, where you can board one of the iconic steamers or stroll along the Ullswater Way. This impressive barn conversion is full of character, with exposed beams and stonework and traditional windows framing spectacular mountain views. The ground floor of the property has an open-plan layout comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. The beautiful kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. After a day of adventure, come together around the wooden table to share a delicious homecooked meal. A few steps lead from here down to the lounge, where fabulous French doors lead out onto the patio and frame the most magnificent view. It’s easy to while away the hours sitting here, soaking up the tranquillity, but if you require a little entertainment, you’ll also find a Sky TV/DVD. Heading upstairs, you’ll discover the two spacious double bedrooms. Both rooms have vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, adding character and charm. The first double bedroom has an en-suite with a walk in shower and a WC and the second also has an en-suite, with a shower and WC. The cottage has a private enclosed patio, with wooden benches and a table. Here, you can relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day to admire the views towards Bowscale Fell and listen to the birds singing in the trees. You’ll also have access to extensive shared grounds, with large areas of lawn, mature trees, and picnic benches. There is ample shared off-road parking available outside the cottage.
