Lavender Lodge is a comfortable, modern, and light lodge/annex located in the peaceful village of Copmanthorpe. We are just 10/15 minutes drive (3 miles) from York city centre and 10-minute drive from York racecourse. The annex is physically joined to our main home but has private access just for guests. So, whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family break or a fun-filled solo adventure, this hidden gem is the one! The space The kitchen comes fully equipped and includes a hob, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge, and tea/coffee-making facilities. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area offers space for relaxing and overlooking the fields, it is a great space to sit with your morning coffee and take in the view with our window seats before you go off to explore the stunning city of York. The bedroom has a comfy double bed with sheets provided, and it is also equipped with a well-lit dressing table and stool. The bathroom is newly furnished to a high standard, and towels are provided. Try find the foreign coins on our 2p floor! You’ll have your own garden space so you can dine alfresco or enjoy a drink. Other things to note Neighbourhood highlights The village of Copmanthorpe has all the basics you could need with - a Good local Pub, Co-Op, Pharmacy, Library, Café (if you can’t be bothered cooking breakfast in the morning), hair & beauty salon, Fish and chips, Pizza takeaway, Chinese and Curry house all within walking distance from the property. Easy access for countryside walks, and excellent links for bike rides. The local picturesque village of Acaster Malbis offers peaceful river walks. Plus, a marina on your doorstep. Getting around There are Regular Bus routes to and from: York City Centre, York railway station, York Racecourse, York College, the North Yorkshire coast & countryside from the village. Bus stop located 30 seconds walk away (Coastliner no. 843 & 840) or there's a park and ride 5 mins drive away, near Tesco (Askham Bar). We are very close the the wedding venue - The Normans, Bilbrough. It’s a 15-minute Taxi (~£10) to/from York centre/York Station to the property. We're a 12-minute drive to/from York Racecourse.
