Description

Just steps from Penobscot Bay, this cozy, privately-situated cottage is a 100-year old Sears and Roebuck catalog house. Charming, yet still highly functional, the home is a perfect place to just relax or use as a base to explore Mid-Coast Maine. The property has a lovely backyard with a picnic table, grill and gardens. It is a short 5 minute walk to a public beach and within driving distance of many more! The space Prior to it being re-imagined as a rental, the house was used as the office for the construction of fiberglass lobster boats, some of which are still afloat in the surrounding bays. The adjacent buildings are still used as workspaces and boat storage; please respect the privacy of the tenants. Please also be mindful that this is an old structure- it has character and some oddities. 10 minutes from Belfast 10 minutes from Lincolnville 20 minutes to Camden 35 minutes to Rockland Guest access You will have access to the entire home, as well as the small greenhouse in the back (although, please be mindful this is a functional greenhouse and the plants should not be disturbed). No access to basement.
