Welcome to our charming country cottage nestled within the breathtaking beauty of the Bluestack Mountains, at the base of Carnaween Mountain in Donegal. The space Our cottage offers a cozy retreat with all the comforts of home. Chill out in front of the fireplace after a day of hiking, or relax in the outdoor bath with a cup of tea whilst you take in the beautiful surroundings as the sun goes down. S L E E P S : The cottage has three bedrooms available for guests, and accommodates 6 people comfortably, making it perfect for a romantic getaway or a small group of friends seeking an authentic Irish countryside experience or hiking trip. We do also supply a travel cot if necessary. F U L L Y E Q U I P P E D K I T C H E N : The cottage features a fully equipped country style kitchen with gas cook tops, so you can prepare delicious meals at home, however we are also located a mere 15 minute drive from Donegal Town, with its delicious eateries and restaurants if you fancy a meal out. U N P L U G & R E C O N N E C T : As Carnaween Cottage is nestled within the Bluestack Mountains, we have limited connectivity. In this way, the cottage encourages you to unplug from the digital world and reconnect with nature and each other. There is phone reception, however we do not have Wifi in the cottage. C O N V E N I E N T L O C A T I O N : While you'll feel a world away immersed in the Irish countryside, our cottage is actually conveniently located for exploring nearby villages and attractions. Discover the rich cultural heritage of Disert where the cottage is located, or you can head to Donegal Town with it's bustling town centre, delicious eateries, gorgeous gift stores and friendly cafes. You can also visit one of the lovely local beaches located a 15 minute drive away in Inver, or take a stroll through the many walks surrounding around the home. Whether you seek adventure on the trails or a peaceful retreat, our cottage provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable getaway. Guest access Guests have full use of the entire downstairs of the home including kitchen, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and living room. The upstairs of the house stores the owners possessions. NOTE: you do have the whole property to yourself, the owners currently live overseas. We also have over an acre of land for you to both relax and play. There is play equipment for children (please ensure thorough supervision at all times).
