Relax and experience the calm and beautiful surroundings in a typical village in Dalarna. The view of Lake Siljan is in sight and you can reach the water in just a few minutes' walk. In Hjulbäck, you can walk along gravel roads among red houses. Pick blueberries, mushrooms and lingonberries in the forest and stroll along the shore, sit down on a jetty and enjoy the tranquility. The swimming area, marina and long jetty can be reached in less than 5 minutes. The accommodation is divided into two buildings. You won't be disappointed! The space HOUSE 1 Entry floor: Hall with space for outerwear. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher, stove, range hood, fridge/freezer and microwave. There are good work surfaces and china for at least 12 people. With an open floor plan towards the kitchen is the dining room that was built in 2017. Here there is a thatched roof and there is a soapstone stove (wood is not included and only fire if you are used to it and have knowledge). The dining area can accommodate 10 people (extra tables and chairs are available if you are 12 people and want to eat together, this may be necessary). Nice views of meadows and water. From the dining room, you can also reach the lovely terrace. The large bathroom with tiles, clinker tiles and underfloor heating is from 2017. There is a spacious shower, sink and toilet. The small bathroom with underfloor heating has a toilet, sink, towel warmer and simple shower facility. The living room overlooks Lake Siljan. There is a large sofa, TV with a large selection of channels and a fireplace (wood is not available and only use the fireplace if you are used to it and have knowledge). Inside the living room is bedroom 1. Built in 2023 with a back roof, double bed 160 cm, sofa and wardrobes. Stunning views over Lake Siljan. Upstairs: Inside the kitchen, a narrow but walkable staircase leads up to the upper floor/loft. There is a small hallway with shelves and the possibility to hang clothes. Bedroom 2 with slanted ceilings and two single beds of 80 cm each. Bedroom 3 with slanted ceilings and two single beds of 80 cm each. Bedroom 3 does not have a door but only a curtain out to the hall. HOUSE 2/guest house The guest house does not function as a "separate accommodation" but as a complement to house 1. Hallway with wardrobe Simple kitchenette with stove (1 burner), microwave, kitchen cabinet, small simple fridge and sink (sparingly equipped with kitchen equipment and not intended for cooking). Bedroom 4 with double bed 160 cm. Bedroom 5 with two single beds of 80 cm each and a day bed that can be made up to 160 cm (2x80 cm). Dining table and 4 chairs. Window with lake view. Please note that the stove in bedroom 5 may not be used. Bathroom renovated in 2013. There is a toilet, sink, shower, washing machine. The wood-fired sauna is currently under a fire ban. We refer to the village sauna down by the lake that can be rented (ask us for contact information via the chat). GENERAL: Large wooden deck/balcony on two floors. 2 dining tables with a total of 10 chairs (There is additional garden furniture in the storage room) Lounge furniture. Parasol. 2 charcoal grills Bakery (can be rented by agreement with the host) Cot (must be ordered at the time of booking - write to the host in the messaging function). Potty High chair Various toys and games. OTHER: Final cleaning is included in the rental rate. Bed linen and towels are not included (can usually be rented on request - message in the messaging function) There is a NO PETS policy during the stay (the host's son is severely allergic). Ask the host if you have any questions about this. Dishes are not included. Porcelain and other kitchen utensils must be washed, dried and neatly placed in the kitchen cabinets before departure. Garbage should be sorted and disposed of in designated garbage cans in the yard. If special soiling (spillage of liquids or the like) occurs, the tenant is responsible for cleaning/washing and restoration before departure so that it looks clean and nice when the next guest arrives. If something accidentally breaks in the cottage, you as a guest are obliged to report this to the landlord. Guest access As a guest, you have access to the entire property with the exception of certain cabinets and storage spaces that are marked "private." During the winter months, rental of House 2 is by agreement (if house 2 is not included, the price is adjusted downwards). Other things to note IMPORTANT! Total NUT BAN in the cottages and on the balcony as the landlord has a son who is severely allergic to nuts. Thank you for your consideration :-) Bed linens and towels are not included in the rent. Nor toilet/household paper and consumables such as soap, shampoo, dishwashing detergent and laundry detergent. As a tenant, you are welcome to use existing consumables that are available in the accommodation, but we ask you to replace these before departure. Except for minor consumption of dry goods and spices. In case of high use of electricity, there is a risk of overload and in order to avoid main fuses tripping, we therefore ask you as a guest not to charge electric/hybrid cars on the property. We also ask that direct-acting electric elements be handled with common sense in winter (avoid turning on maximum heat. Adjusting for normal indoor temperature is of course okay). The swimming area, which is 50 meters from the accommodation, has a grass/sand beach and barbecue area. Long jetty with ladder for swimming. Usually, a trampoline is also installed. Village sauna about 500 meters from the cottage. Booked and paid to the village association's representative, if desired, the host can provide contact information.
