The space Welcome to our delightful vacation rental! Our property is a unique and comfortable home, perfect for families and groups looking for a relaxing and entertaining stay. Property Description: Our charming three-story house offers a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you arrive. With decks on every level of the house, you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise, fish during the day, and sit by the fire at the end of the night. With direct canal access to Lake St. Clair, you’ll be able to enjoy outdoor activities and soak up the sun. Room Descriptions: Living Room: As you enter the second floor, the living room welcomes you with full glass views of the canal and nature preserve. A cozy couch and custom bar area create the perfect spot to unwind while playing your favorite games or watching your favorite shows. Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen, conveniently located on the same floor as the living room, has everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals during your stay. From modern appliances to cookware and utensils, you’ll find everything you need for a delightful cooking experience. Dining Area: The dining area also serves as a full-service bar. The bar seats 3, providing space to come together and enjoy meals in a comfortable and inviting setting. There are 4 additional bar stools on the second story deck that can be placed around the bar for added seating. A convenient freezer/fridge and wine refrigerator can be found next to the bar for easy access to your beverages. 2nd Story Deck: The second story wrap around deck offers a bright and serene space to relax, read a book, or simply enjoy the surrounding views. Wicker seating with cushions surrounds a propane fireplace, with 4 bar stools overlooking the canal. Cushions can be found in the outdoor storage bin. 1st Story Deck: The first story deck allows direct access to your boat. The maximum boat length for the area is approximately 26 feet long. There is additional seating on this deck, along with closed storage for your boat accessories and covers. Bedrooms: The house offers three comfortable bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, and one of the bedrooms offers a queen bottom bunk with a twin XL top bunk. The bottom bunk offers enough space for sitting up. The master bedroom offers a private third story deck with views out to the canal and nature preserve. Bathrooms: All bathrooms are fully stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a hair dryer, ensuring you have all the essentials for a comfortable and refreshing stay. Amenities: **Central air conditioning and heat. *Two sit-in fishing kayaks with paddles. *A propane grill for outdoor cookouts. *All (4) TVs offer access to Roku Guest Mode, which allows guests to sign into their own streaming accounts and automatically wipes their data on a specified checkout date. *Fish cleaning station off the first story deck. *Spigot and water hose located on the west side of the house. *Additional parking and boat storage is offered from Spring to Fall at Deckers Landing, at the end of our street. Since parking is limited at our rental with only (2) spots, we offer this amenity. There are two driveway parking spots for vehicles, and one garage spot for a small car. There is a public DNR boat launch at the end of our street, just past Deckers Landing. Once you launch your boat, then you can store any trailers and additional cars at the Deckers slip provided. Deckers slip number will be provided upon booking. Additional House Rules: -Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas. -Parties and events are not permitted to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. -Parking is limited at our rental, so please do not park in the neighboring lots. Please only park in the garage or in the cement area surrounding the home. We have good relationships with our neighbors and don’t want that to be jeopardized. Check-In and Check-Out: Check-in time: 3:00 PM onwards (flexible, please inform us in advance of your estimated arrival time). Check-out time: 11 AM (flexible, subject to availability and prior arrangement). PARKING: PLEASE NOTE THAT PARKING IS VERY LIMITED AT THE PROPERTY. YOU CAN FIT ONE FULL SIZE VEHICLE, OR TWO SMALL SUVS/CARS, BUT IT WILL BE TIGHT. WE OFFER ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR TRAILERS AND VEHICLES AT DECKERS LANDING, AT THE END OF THE STREET. OUR SLIP NUMBER 6, IS CURRENTLY OPEN, BUT THE LAND NEAR THE SLIP IS BEING BLOCKED BY TWO LARGE BOATS. DECKER'S HAS DIRECTED US TO STORE ANY TRAILERS AND VEHICLES NEAR THE DECKER'S MAIN OFFICE BUILDING. PLEASE SELECT A SPOT THAT MAKES SENSE, WHERE YOU WILL NOT GET BLOCKED IN. PLEASE PUT A NOTE ON YOUR VEHICLE OR TRAILER REFERENCING 8585 ABD. DECKER'S RARELY HAS SOMEONE IN THE OFFICE OR ANSWERING PHONES, SO PLEASE PARK AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. WE DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE FOR OUR LIMITED PARKING, BUT THE RENTAL HOURS IS OUR MAIN FOCUS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS RELATED TO THIS PLEASE REACH OUR PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL. Guest access We want to ensure you feel right at home during your time here, and we’re happy to let you know that you will have access to the entire house throughout your stay. Other things to note Kindly note that our location is waterfront, which means you may come across various forms of wildlife during your time at our home. Some examples of these creatures include birds, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, spiders, and fish flies. It's important to remember that these animals are a natural part of the environment, and we have no control over their presence. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds if you encounter wildlife during your stay, as it is beyond our control. FISH FLY SEASON We do offer a leaf blower in the garage during fish fly season, which typically runs from the end of May throughout the early weeks of June. The fish flies are attracted to light, so we recommend turning off the deck lights when you go to bed. In the morning, the fish flies will be dead and dried up. Our recommendation is to NOT get them wet, as they stick more to surfaces when wet. Grab the leaf blower and blow them away. Start with the top deck and move down to the lower deck and your boat. Then you can enjoy the day fish fly free! Lastly, we regret to inform you that we do not allow dogs or any other animals on the premises. If you or your Guest come to the property with a pet, you may be asked to leave without a refund due to regulations in this area.
