Description
Cosy, rustic and beautifully curated thatched cottage in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Perfect for couples or two friends who want their own space (2 double bedrooms). Inspired by nature, with hand painted furniture, vintage fabrics and quirky treasures, Cloudberry is your little haven in which to unwind, have a romantic break or take in the beauty of the Suffolk countryside with many local walks, a fantastic store and local spa retreat. The space The cottage has lovely wooden floors throughout. On arrival there is a small boot room for coats, storage and shoes. As you enter through the main internal door you find the living room which has double aspect windows on to the High Street - from on high as the cottage is raised. It's a great view down the road to the shop! The living room leads to the little kitchen which is fully stocked with all you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. The oven, washer/drier machine and fridge are all new. This leads to the bathroom with roll-top bath and hand fixed shower. A heated towel rail, wall heater and wall fan are integral in case the weather is particularly cold or warm. We then move up the stairs to the sweet little landing where the wifi is stored. The small bedroom to the right has a small double bed built into the space - fun to jump on and doesn't have room 'around' it so is perfect for getting straight into bed. There is a full length cupboard and smaller cupboards for storage. Then off the landing to the main bedroom which has a lovely french-vintage vibe. With antique double bed, plenty of wardrobe space, and chest of drawers, small table and eiderdowns to snuggle in. Outside there is a lovely decked area for up to 3 people to enjoy a glass of something while reminiscing about the day you have just had. Guest access You will have access to the entire cottage and decking area. Other things to note There are steps up to the front door at the cottage so it isn't suitable for someone who would be challenged by those. You can see these in the first photograph on the listing. The village doesn't have gas so everything is electric, including lovely cast iron (hard wired) electric radiators in the living room and main bedroom. The stairs to the first floor are fairly narrow so it's worth taking care when using them. There is a cast iron (tasteful!) hand rail if you should need any support.
