At Our Place

Whether you’re travelling solo or as a couple, you'll be a welcome guest at Chez Nous. As keen travellers, we know what it’s like to stay in someone’s home when we’re on the road, so we offer guests a generous and comfortable base to explore all that the Blue Mountains offers. Hazelbrook is located in the mid-mountains, a hidden gem and the perfect place to base yourself. From here you can discover glorious bushwalks and waterfalls, and fabulous bars, galleries and restaurants. The space Your room includes: A queen-size bed with a pocket sprung mattress that offers great support Deluxe Belgian linen bedding Luxurious goose-down pillows and duvet An electric blanket (programmable for even the chilliest mountain nights) A private en-suite bathroom with shower Super thick Turkish towels L’Occitane products USB outlets and power points on both sides of your bed for all your devices. There are also fabulous views to the garden and native bushland, and plenty of space to store your stuff. It’s super quiet with no traffic noise so you’re guaranteed a peaceful night’s sleep. Our house is light and warm in cooler winter months. We have a large modern kitchen, the hub of our home from where we love to cook and entertain. This opens onto a dining area on one side, and a lounge area on the other. So, feel free to enjoy some down time reading or just simply zoning out. Take advantage of a delicious breakfast at our place before heading out to explore. Typically, breakfast includes any of the following: the best croissants in the Blue Mountains; eggs; toast with an assortment of toppings; porridge; muesli (our own organic or Carmen's toasted) accompanied with fresh berries and organic milk or Barambah organic yoghurt. We also make freshly squeezed juice daily and offer a wide range of loose-leaf herbal, black or green teas. If it's coffee you prefer, then we can make you either caffeinated or decaffeinated espresso coffee in our vintage Atomic coffee machine, or you can make one yourself using one of our Bodem plungers or Bialetti coffee makers. Guest access Shared areas include: a deck overlooking the garden and native bushland dining room a lounge a porch a laundry and drying area that you’re welcome to use a large private garden with plenty of places to read or relax. During your stay Chez Nous is our home, and we are around most of the time. We are happy to help out in any we can to make your stay as enjoyable and a comfortable as possible. We can also provide you with ideas for day trips, cafes, shops, galleries and restaurants nearby. If you don’t have a car, you can easily take the train to explore Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath. All have their own character, unique village shops and fabulous walks. Other things to note Chez Nous is about an hour's drive from Sydney and an hour and a half by train (from Central Station). While we’re situated in a tranquil cul-de-sac, we’re just minutes to Hazelbrook station, good coffee, food and a small shopping centre. If you require a lift, we can pick you up with a little notice.
