The space Inspired by the Filipino word for “to break free,” our renovated 1960s family cottage is your invitation to unwind and reconnect with nature on a sprawling private acre. The experience begins in the open-concept living area, where the modern, fully equipped kitchen flows into a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace and beautiful views of the water. Step into the huge, sunroom—a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening dinners, featuring a full dining set, a second living area, and a convenient bar fridge. The cabin comfortably sleeps 6 and up to 8 guests across three bedrooms: Room 1: Queen bed with lake view Room 2: Queen bed with forest view Room 3: Double bed and single bunk bed with lake view A modern, clean bathroom includes a full-sized shower and tub for your comfort. Our property boasts the largest flat green space on the lake, perfect for lawn games. A gentle slope leads to over 25 feet of private waterfront on Lac Bataille. Private Dock: A 240 sq ft floating dock with a ladder for sunbathing and swimming. Watercraft: Explore Lac Bataille and Lac Rheaume with our two kayaks, one canoe, and two stand-up paddleboards (life jackets provided). Fire Pit: Gather around the large fire pit with outdoor furniture (firewood provided, subject to local fire bans). Family Fun: We offer board games, lawn games like Spike Ball, and a selection of children's books and toys. Guest access Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire cabin, the one-acre property, the private waterfront, and the dock. The only restricted area is the locked utility crawl space. Other things to note Water System: The cabin's water is drawn from the lake. It is filtered and safe for showering and washing, but it is not potable. We provide plenty of fresh drinking water for your stay. Septic System: We are on an eco-friendly septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Avoid putting food waste, grease, or chemicals down any drains. No A/C: The cabin does not have air conditioning. Each room has a ceiling fan or a portable fan, and the windows provide a wonderful cross-breeze. Internet & Cell Service: The cabin has Bell Wi-Fi, strong enough for streaming, video calls, and everyday general use. Cell service can be weak, but enabling "Wi-Fi Calling" on your phone typically provides a reliable connection. Security: For your safety and ours, there are exterior security cameras monitoring the property's perimeter and entrances. They do not have views of any interior spaces.
