Rise and rest to sweeping sunrises and sunsets, and fresh country air. This listing is to stay in both the Farmer's Cottage and Shearer's Quarters. The space THE FARMER'S COTTAGE The Farmer's Cottage at Lochrae Homestead is a beautifully renovated 1890s farmhouse. It's four, comfy queen size beds will give you the much needed rest you've been craving. With 2 ensuites and another full bathroom there is plenty of space to get ready for a day of exploring the Goulburn Valley or simply enjoying some lawn games in the backyard. At night, grab a wine and sit back by the outdoor fire bucket to enjoy the star-filled sky on a clear night. The cottage is fitted with ducted heating and cooling so you'll be comfortable all year round. Grab one of our blankets and curl up on the couch to watch a movie on the smart TV. Or if you want to keep it a screen free zone, check out our selection of board games and puzzles. If you're enjoying an extended stay, there is a washing machine and outdoor clothes line. Fresh sheets or towels are available for a fee. Please note: this is a 100+ year old home and comes with the beauty of age! You can expect modern day luxuries with some old age imperfections and country quirks. THE SHEARER'S QUARTERS The Shearer's Quarters at Lochrae Homestead are beautifully renovated rooms with shared kitchen, dining, living and bathroom spaces. Perfect for groups of families or couples exploring the Nagambie region. It's comfy queen and king single size beds will give you the much needed rest you've been craving. Get ready for a day of exploring the Goulburn Valley or simply enjoying some lawn games in the backyard and at night, grab a wine and sit back by the outdoor fire bucket to enjoy the star-filled sky on a clear night. Each room is fitting with a split heating/cooling unit and ceiling fan so you'll be comfortable all year round. Grab one of our blankets and curl up on the couch to watch a movie on the smart TV. Or if you want to keep it a screen free zone, check out our selection of board games and puzzles. The indoor fireplace is only in use from May-September. Shared spaces have exterior access. We recommend warm clothing during colder months. Guest access You have full, private access to the Farmer's Cottage, it's surrounding yard, the Shearer's Quarters and the Sheep Yard outdoor dining space. We are making continual improvements to the property, so with that in mind please do not enter any other dwelling or structure. Some of them are private areas, as we live on the property, and others are still waiting for our love & attention to make them safe for guests. Any livestock in the neighbouring paddocks do not belong to us, so please do not enter these areas. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept pets or additional guests. We are in the country so there may be wildlife and insects around, including the occasional possum scurrying from point A to point B on the roof at night. Please do not feed the wildlife or livestock. While the area around the Farmers Cottage is fenced, it is not locked and there is access to unfenced bodies of water on the property. Please keep this in mind if bringing children and make sure they are supervised at all times. Any excessive damage will incur an appropriate cleaning or replacement charge. There is an additional cost of $20 per charge for EV vehicles plugged into the power. There are also EV charging stations in the Nagambie township and at Mitchelton winery.
