The property sits snugly between the great PACIFIC OCEAN and vast stretches of RICE FIELDS, with a view of the majestic BULUSAN VOLCANO in the horizon. Nestled on the ground floor of a massive BALINESE-INSPIRED villa, Lanai offers the perfect base for your adventures. Whether you're lounging after a day of exploration or gearing up for another thrilling excursion, you'll find the COMFORT and CONVENIENCE you need. The nearby beach is a short 2-MINUTE STROLL away, inviting you to relax and soak in the sun. Entering the gate, you'll see the Main House ahead. The NATURAL DIPPING POOL at the bottom of the staircase is shared by all guests. The Lanai is a large OPEN SPACE with shutters on one side, and a view of the rice fields and the sunset. Two hammocks hang along the West side, and chairs and tables are scattered around the space. The KING SIZED BEDS are on the South side of the open space, facing the view. There are curtains to cover the beds for privacy, and SHUTTERS on both sides, which offer privacy from the street and the rest of the property. Queen sized trundles are kept next to the King beds. The KITCHEN is on the North side of the ground floor. It's a galley kitchen with a bar, and equipped with most kitchen appliances except for a microwave oven. The spacious bathroom is next to the kitchen, and comes with vintage brass shower fixtures and a BATHTUB with a view of a side garden. Across the driveway is the SUGBAHAN or our grill station, because every beach experience isn't complete without some beach barbecue! Guest access Guests have the entire ground floor Lanai of the main house with kitchen and bathroom for the duration of their stay. >EXCLUSIVE STAY: Enjoy the entire Lanai for the duration of your stay. >ROAM FREELY: The property is fenced in, so guests and animals can roam freely. Just avoid the Lamadang Suite, Turingan Loft, and Malasugi Room if you haven't booked them. >>PRIVATE KITCHEN The kitchen is exclusive for Lanai guest use. The kitchen includes all everything you need to cook up a feast, except for a microwave oven. Enjoy the complimentary self-service breakfast with our very own sourdough bread, peanut butter with cacao, fresh fruit, eggs and a custom blend of the best local coffee from Mindanao. Help yourself to ice-cold calamansi juice as well. >ENTERTAINMENT: Books and games found on the second floor foyer, and Netflix at Batalay loft are available for Lanai guests except when the 2nd floor is booked exclusively for a group. Lanai guests may request for a projector to be set up for screenings, for a fee. >DIPPING POOL. Right outside the Lanai, at the bottom of the staircase is small dipping pool. It's perfect for cooling off during hot days, or simply for hanging out after a long day of adventures. The dipping pool at the bottom of the stairs is shared with other Baia Nest guests. >RELIABLE INTERNET: Baia Nest offers high-speed fiber internet, with Starlink as a backup. >OUTDOOR SHOWER: Rinse off by the gate before getting into the dipping pool or upon returning from the beach. >BEACH ACCESS: The beach is just a 2-minute walk away through a charming seaside village, for those who love to ride waves or read a book. VALUE ADDS: >Free self-service breakfast items >Exclusive perks from partner establishments >Discounts for 2+ nights >Baby crib and high chair available by reservation with a fee Other things to note THINGS TO CONSIDER: >You may encounter farm wildlife such as field mice, insects, and reptiles. >Occasional power outages within the province can occur. >SOME LEAKS may happen from the native roof after heavy rain. >The cottage uses only ELECTRIC FANS for additional cooling and no AC. >PARKING is available streetside outside the property. >Some areas may be under CONSTRUCTION during the day. >PETS allowed after an approval process, with a P500 pet fee. >Illegal downloads are not tolerated in our homes >Extra charges may be applied for special requests such as early check in or late check out. >A MOTORBIKE and MINIVAN are available for rent. EVENTS: Lanai may be booked for events! Please ask us if you plan to host a party or team building. ACTIVITIES AND WILDLIFE: Discover the best of Sorsogon with activities for all groups. Our guide book has everything you need for local sights and adventures. Enjoy the tall trees, grazing carabao, and a symphony of birds like kingfishers, herons, and fish eagles. You might also spot farm animals like field mice, insects, turtles, and reptiles. PARKING: Our driveway within the property can only accommodate a few cars, or one vehicle for each room, as we are still constructing the carport. If these slots are taken, guests will have to park their vehicles by the road outside the property. Please be aware that if you block someone in, you need to communicate with other guests about their schedule. CONSTRUCTION AND BROWNOUTS: Baia Nest is a work in progress. We are currently building our pool, and you may see construction from the Lamadang bathroom. We'll minimize noise for our guests. Occasional whole-day brownouts (6am-6pm) may occur. Our small generator powers the lights and Wi-Fi but not the water pump. We'll coordinate with you during these times. DOORS AND WINDOWS Only the bathroom has a lockable door, and inside the bathroom, a lockable cabinet will be made available for storage. Our windows will be installed little by little, as our carpenter builds them. ANIMALS AND PETS: Guests with pets should coordinate with us before arrival. Pets are allowed after a short approval process along with a pet fee. Pets need proper introduction to our Baia Nest animals. Our dogs are not usually friendly to strange cats. Being next to the rice fields, you may encounter farm wildlife such as field rats, insects, and reptiles. MEALS AND SWIMMING: While our Nests are self-service, you can request ahead for cooked meals at P500 per head. Ask us for the menu and costs based on type of dishes. No lifeguards are present, so swim at your own risk. Be aware of currents and wave conditions before entering the water. DISCOUNTS AND DAYTIME GUESTS: Enjoy discounts for stays of 2 nights or more. The longer you stay, the bigger the discount. Treat yourself to an extra day! A daytime guest fee of P500 per guest applies. Please inform us if you'll be entertaining guests in our Nest. NOISE AND REBOOKING: Our house is beside the road. Expect street sounds and fish vendors at 6 AM. Fiesta sounds may travel across the rice fields to our house a few days a year. CLEANING AND SHEET CHANGES: Cleaning and sheet changes are conducted every 3 days for longer stays. Daily sheet changes can be arranged for an extra fee.
