Enjoy the perennial gardens, large yard and sun filled deck while listening to birds call, the bell buoy ring and other sounds of the harbor 23 miles out to sea. Arrive by boat or plane with all provisions. The space Modest accommodation which features a composting toilet and no running water. Water can be drawn from a hand pump well in yard. Kitchen features propane oven & refrigerator. Bedroom is loft style. No frills interior design and decor perfect for minimalists. Composting toilet & shower stall on site. Bring your own camping solar shower bag to use for dishwashing & showering. Guest access Guests of Isle Be Back Too may utilize the yard behind the cottage and well in front of the bunkhouse. Travel on the island will be by foot, bicycle or contacting Mermaid Taxi (guests expense). Other things to note This house has no flush toilet or running water. Bathroom is accessed from outside of cottage. Bring your own camping solar shower bag for dishwashing & showering. Weak internet; may not support working from home. The island has no stores, atms, banks etc. You must arrive with provisions. Transportation to & fro the island is not included your reservation. To travel to & fro island arrangements can made with the Maine State Ferry out of Rockland, Matinicus Excursions & Penobscot Island Air.
