Delightful studio apartment in a colonial era mansion at the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers. Just north of Canal Lock 1 in Troy, this historic home once belonged to oilcloth maker, banker, and philanthropist Deborah Powers, who for a time back in the 1800's was said to be the richest woman in the USA. Enjoy a stroll on the grounds, a canoe on the river, a bike ride to nearby Peebles Island State Park, Cohoes, Waterford, and Troy. The space This is a studio apartment in an historic mansion in the heart of Lansingburgh (North Troy). Please be aware that there is street noise: second avenue is right outside the window and cars will be audible at all times. Guest access Guests have a small studio apartment on the southeast side of the house, but also have access to the 2 acre yard and riverfront. Other things to note There is a busy road out front, so if the urban sounds of automobiles rolling by in the street keeps you up at night this might not be the unit for you!
