This charming unique Captain’s Watch cottage is located in a very quiet location where you can relax and enjoy gazing at the ocean during the day and star gazing at night. With many great family day trips around the area you can explore as much as you want or simply relax at the 1.5 acre property and walk the ocean floor at low tide. The space Welcome to Shipwreck Shores Captain’s Watch Cottage, a beautiful and charming place nestled on the edge of a breathtaking cliff located on the Point Prim peninsula. Here you will have the 1.5 acre property all to yourself with 360 degree views of the ocean along the safe warm waters of the Northumberland Straight. The cottage is decorated in Nautical Antique Decor with lots of cozy comforts. Fully furnished open concept with a well equipped kitchen and everything you and your family would need will make for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, 1 with a double bed and a loft with 2 twin beds. There is also a pull out double sofa bed in the living room. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower and spacious dining area. There is an outdoor stand up shower room attached to the back of the shed. Two of the bedrooms are located on the main level and the 3rd bedroom is in a loft with a pull down ladder, a unique feature that adds to the character of this cottage (a favourite place for the older kids). There is a BBQ to use at your convenience and a fire pit with firewood included by the shed. The cottage is only 1 of 3 properties on this lane which means a quiet and private location where you can just relax and watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day. Enjoy a nice glass of wine while star gazing from this second viewing deck at high tide as the sound of the waves hit the cliff down below. Enjoy walking the ocean floor at low tide, digging for clams, playing in the signature PEI red sand, and searching for sea glass and ocean treasures. There are private stairs to the ocean floor from the 2nd viewing deck on the property shared with the neighbouring cottages for you to use. If you are willing to pull yourself away from the amazing ocean views there are many local nearby attractions that make for great day trips. Some of these include the Belfast highland greens golf course, Brudenell River Golf Resort and spa, Point Prim historic lighthouse, the Point Prim award winning chowder house. Other close attractions are the Rossignol Winery, Pappy’s BBQ farm market and corn maze, Roma at Three Rivers historic Village, and many beautiful one of kind beaches within driving distance. There is a grocery, liquor and gas store, family owned and operated by locals for years named Coopers Red and White Convenience only an 8 minute drive away. The quaint towns of Montague and Murray Harbour are only 30 mins away and the city of Charlottetown is an easy 40 mins away. Coming from Nova Scotia, or want to make a trip there? No problem the cottage is located only 22 mins off the Wood islands ferry. There are so many numerous fun activities to fill your time here on the island that you may have to make a second trip back!
