"6 al Duomo" is my personal secondary residence in Piazzetta Santa Croce 6, which I have decided to occasionally rent for short periods to tourists who want to enjoy a vacation in a beautiful town, with an equally beautiful sea, but in a family environment. Only 200 meters from the old port and Porta Pescara, where the sandy promenade of Cefalù begins, and 200 meters from the beautiful cliff of Giudecca, you will find everything you need to feel "at home." The space Delightful two-room apartment with en-suite bathroom as shown in the photo, it is very easy to reach both from the central station, on foot in just 15 minutes and from the various private parking lots; to find the exact address, Piazzetta Santa Croce 6, use Waze or Apple Maps, no Google Maps because it has not been mapped correctly and improperly calls the whole street via Passafiume. Set back from Piazza Duomo, it offers a central location but also a quiet stay and is also equipped with double-glazed windows. Being a personally lived-in house, it is equipped with every useful accessory to ensure a pleasant vacation. Perfect for a couple, if necessary it can accommodate a third guest such as a child or if you are a group of close friends and do not look for huge spaces: in Cefalù you live outside, not in the house; I do not recommend three people if they all have large luggage. You are in the heart of Cefalù! For me, Cefalù is the historic center with the sea a stone's throw away, without the need to take the car or take long walks to reach a good restaurant or the beauties that the town offers. If you take a taxi, get off in Piazza Duomo to be "speechless" in admiring it in front of the fortress (the mountain that overlooks it), but then go back a little on Corso Ruggero, until you cross Via Madonna degli Angeli and through this small street, characterized by a small arch on the side of a historic house called "Casa Torre", going all the way, you will arrive at the house: among the photos is the exact point where the house is with the view from Piazza Duomo. Guest access To find Piazzetta Santa Croce 6 uses Waze or Apple Maps, Google is not registered. The entire historic center is in ZTL (Corso Ruggero, Via Bordonaro, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Candeloro and Via Giudecca with perpendicular minor streets) and only the cars of ZTL residents circulate in a few hours; tourists' cars cannot circulate, therefore pay attention to fines. The accommodation is located in front of the right side of the Duomo, at the height of the apse, it is visible from the square and to reach it without climbing the 4 steps to the right of the cathedral, it is recommended to walk all the way to Via Madonna degli Angeli because it is not very steep and without steps. If accompanied by a Taxi because they have too heavy luggage, get off at the intersection with Via Madonna degli Angeli and continue 200 meters on foot to reach the accommodation. Parking: 1) free at the Port, but I recommend calling the Taxi to take you home, or walk for about 15 minutes to Via Giudecca, then Via Candeloro and turn left in the small Via del Seminario that takes you to Piazza Duomo; free of charge in Via Vincenzo Cirincione, upstream of the station, you can find the white areas where you can park and relative to where you find a place, it is a 25/30 minute walk to the Duomo, but the stretch of road will be mainly downhill. 2) Paid parking is available with Easy Park: on the blue-striped spaces (€6.00 per day) along Via Roma or at the train station (€10.00 per day); 3) for a fee, Dafne parking with entrance from Via Aldo Moro and the closest to the center; info on cefaluparking; 4) Paid parking, blue stripes, on the Giuseppe Giardina waterfront, €2.00/hour from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM with Easy Park, daily rate €15.00; 5) for a fee with entrance from the Giuseppe Giardina seafront or from Via Maestro Pintorno (the largest, beachfront but not recommended for long stays) € 2.00/hour and daily rate of € 22.00. For taxi service, search the web for Taxi Cefalù. Other things to note The accommodation tax of €2.00 per day per person is not collected by Airbnb and must be paid in cash at the end of the stay, leaving it in the pink piggy bank. Due only for 5 days even in the case of a longer stay. Extra linen change, max once every 7 days if requested, €30.00. It is not rented to minors unless accompanied by adults.
