The Lieutenancy is a bourgeois house with a 16th century garden in the small town of Tinchebray. The space ★ A little history... The gîte was the lieutenancy during the old regime in 1830 (house of the king's lieutenant). Owned by wealthy merchants, it was in 1895 the house of Dr. Coulombe, former mayor, who gave his name to the street. A commemorative plaque is on the facade of the house. This place full of history offers beautiful volumes. You will discover a simple, modern and warm interior where contemporary furniture, antique furniture, tiles and antique woodwork mingle. A garden enclosed by walls, very pleasant, with a century-old tree and bordered by the GR22 completes the property. All in close proximity to shops. ★ The accommodation ★ The main house offers a space of 250 m2. On the ground floor there is a fitted kitchen with a monumental fireplace (non-functional) and a dining table for 15 people. As well as a living room with a pellet stove and a game table/desk (ideal for teleworking with fiber). Upstairs, 4 bedrooms and 3 shower rooms: 2 independent bedrooms with adjoining shower room. As well as 2 en-suite bedrooms (dormitory type) with a shower room. An 80 m² outbuilding is available with a party room (lighting and sound system present) and a laundry room on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a games room with foosball, billiards, darts and sofas. The 800 m² walled garden is organized on several levels. There is a jacuzzi, garden furniture with a gas barbecue, a vegetable garden and a contemplative garden. On the last level, there is a playground: soccer cage, badminton and trampoline. A pétanque court is 100 m from the house. From Flers to Tinchebray you can take a taxi (30 euros before 7 p.m. and 45 euros after, I will give you the contact after booking if necessary) or carpool. We are always happy to offer flexible check-in and check-out times whenever possible. For weekend bookings where there is no other booking following yours, we can guarantee a 6 p.m. checkout time and earlier check-in times are also available at no additional cost.
