Settle in to this bright little house with spectacular views from all sides and explore spring-fed Lac Lacroix where there are no motor boats to disturb the calm. Our vegetable garden is yours too! Pick fresh veggies and berries in season to enjoy with your meals. I can show you the hiking trails, take you on a paddle board river descent, give you a stretching class or even take you foraging! The space This is a small, Scandinavian inspired house right at the edge of Lac Lacroix only 13 minutes from Maniwaki where you will find anything you'll need for your stay. You'll be at the end of the road, with only one neighbour to the south, so lots of privacy. Most of the yard is planted with edible plants for you to enjoy. There are dozens of walking / hiking trails within walking or short driving distance of the house. With a little organization, you can plan river descents on easy winding sandy rivers with beaches on every twist and turn. There are also plenty of pick-your-own places, one only a short walk away. Need a guide? Most days I can guide you on hikes for foraging and discovering beautiful scenery. You’ll need to check ahead though! Guest access Park a few feet from the house and walk straight into the sun porch. You can store your bikes behind the covered trellis right beside the parking area. It’s a short walk down a few steps to the dock—literally within spitting distance of the house! Choose between a bright east-facing bedroom if you like to wake up with the sun or a darker room if you'd like to sleep in. The kitchen is well stocked, you won’t need a thing. You’ll find most condiments, spices and staples to help you make great meals. I can even cook for you if you like. Other things to note I do require that you clean up after your pet automatically and dispose of excrement in a poop bag inside the garbage bag in the large bin at the top of the hill. Also, please provide your own waterproof blankets if your pet won’t stay off the beds and furniture. There is a washing machine, but the dryer is fairly useless! Combos are not the best! However, there’s a clothesline outside and one in the basement too, with a dehumidifier going to dry things quick indoors if it’s raining.
