The space You’ll be staying in the peaceful downstairs level of my home — a bright, private-feeling daylight basement with its own private entrance. The home has three separate private entrances: one for you, one for the upstairs living space (my area), and one for a separate studio unit whose guests you will not interact with. A door also separates the upper and lower levels, creating an exceptionally quiet and private atmosphere. The downstairs guest area includes two guest bedrooms, a full shared bathroom, a comfortable living room, and a convenient kitchenette, forming a relaxed and home-like environment ideal for both short and longer stays. The shared living room is thoughtfully furnished for comfort, with cozy seating and a large TV for unwinding after a long day. The kitchenette is stocked for simple meals, coffee, and snacks, making your stay easy and self-sufficient. One of the highlights of the home is the indoor sauna, available to guests for deep relaxation and recovery — a favorite feature for many visitors and the perfect way to recharge. Step out onto the shared deck to enjoy stunning valley views and frequent wildlife sightings, including deer, rabbits, raccoons, and many species of birds. In the evenings, the quiet sounds of nature — crickets, frogs, and distant coyotes — create a deeply peaceful setting. Because the home also includes a small kitten nursery on the lower level, I may occasionally pass through the downstairs area for brief care visits. These are quick and unobtrusive, and most guests rarely notice my presence. The downstairs living spaces remain calm, respectful, and private. The home is located just outside the city, offering a true country feel while remaining close to town and everyday conveniences. Guests often comment on how restful and rejuvenating the space feels. You’ll likely be greeted by Oliver, my friendly hypoallergenic cat, and you may even meet some very sweet kittens during your stay. The property is monitored with exterior security cameras for everyone’s safety. The backyard includes a fire pit area for guests to enjoy. Surrounded by forest and fruit trees, including apples and plums, this retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, nature, privacy, and tranquility. Guest access Guests have access to the entire downstairs guest level, which includes two guest bedrooms, a shared full bathroom, a comfortable living room, and a convenient kitchenette. This level has its own private entrance and feels quiet and self-contained. Guests may also enjoy the shared deck and the backyard fire pit area. The upstairs level of the home is private and reserved for the host. The only shared space with other guests is the downstairs guest level. Access to the indoor sauna is available by arrangement with the host. I will personally show you how to use it safely and properly — please message me to schedule your sauna time. During your stay I value giving guests privacy and space to relax, and most guests enjoy a very quiet, independent stay. Because the home includes a small kitten nursery and the indoor sauna, I may occasionally pass through the downstairs area for brief, unobtrusive visits. Other things to note • Arrival & Entry: The private guest entrance is located at the back of the home. Parking is at the front of the house, with four total spaces available. You will be assigned a specific parking spot and provided with detailed arrival instructions after booking. • Stairs: Access to the private entrance requires walking down a set of fairly steep outdoor stairs. Please keep this in mind if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage. • Private Doors & Windows: Along the walkway to your entrance, you will pass other private doors and windows belonging to residents of the home. Please follow the provided directions carefully and do not knock on other doors or look into windows as you make your way to your entrance. Your private guest door is located at the far end of the deck and is clearly identified in the arrival instructions. • Parking: Parking is limited, so it’s important to follow your assigned parking instructions exactly. • Local Area Highlights: You’re close to some of the area’s most loved outdoor spaces, including Alderbrook Park (about 1 mile away) and Moulton Falls, a beautiful destination for hiking, swimming, picnics, and nature exploration. In the summer, Alderbrook Park hosts a classic car show every Friday evening — you may see the cars passing the home during event hours.
