Beautiful living space in our detached garage, 100 ft. from the main house. I live with a young Golden Pyrenees pup. We are 4 miles north of Mendocino, within a mixed Redwood forest, pasture and seasonal stream. There's an 11% hotel tax to Mendocino County. One time $25/dog fee per dog. Dogs must always be on leash and never left alone, unless quiet & crated. Please leave aggressive dogs at home. No Pit Bulls/or mixed - too many unprovoked attacks. You feel the peace here the moment your car drives through the gate. We are bordered on the north by Jughandle Reserve, and the east by Jackson State Forest.(approx. 15,000 acres!) The Guest House has a feeling of warmth and coziness, and you look out the window to a large redwood tree from your bed. There is a King size Tempurpedic bed in the room. A propane "fake wood stove" is your source of heat, along with an electric wall heater in the bathroom. Within the bathroom there is a beautiful slate steam shower, and the room also houses a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and electric hot water kettle. $75. cleaning fee. $250. You will have access to a private picnic table and hammock, next to your guest quarters, by the edge of the forest, and the area where Merlin roams sometime during the afternoons.(on the other side of the fence!) You are welcome to walk the forest, visit Merlin(horse) in the barn during feeding time and relax into our peaceful world here. Your privacy is very important to me, so I'll be very sensitive to my comings and goings.
