Klipsop Cottage

Unique and tranquil, in the shade of large Jackalberry trees. At the edge of our beautiful Samochima lagoon, a cool breeze always enters through gauze windows. At night a hippo might graze outside while the Pel's Fishing owl grunts a few yards away. Organic building materials - clay, reeds and canvass, gives a safari feel but with added amenities of self-catering, electricity and wifi. Walking distance to other entertainment options, e.g. boat rides, restaurant and bar, which can be arranged. The space Klipsop is a small farm just 2km from the village of Samochima. A lagoon, with access to mainstream Okavango river, forms the front border. Several forest walks criss-cross the farm and guests are free to wander around. There are 5 households living on the farm more or less clustered in one corner, with Klipsop cottages bordering this residential area. The swimming pool is communal but each cottage has its own barbeque area. There is also another tourism venue, Askiesbos, on the farm of which some amenities are available for other guests if available, with prior arrangement.
