Description
With a very nice view of the Reloncaví estuary, he lives a totally off-grid experience. The house is powered by solar energy and water from the mountains. The case is in the Cohiue sector of Los Columpios, right in the middle of the trek that takes you to them. Access to the house door is with 4x4. For those who do not have 4x4 climbing, I tell you that I coordinated with the neighbors who manage the Cochamó swing. The space 1- The house INCLUDES the entrance to the Coihue de Los Columpios. Los Casanova are our friends and neighbors, so I can help you coordinate other services that they have: horseback riding, trekking with guide, pool, transfers and the same access to the Coihue de Los Columpios. 2- Very important: We only have A COPY of keys. If you lose it, we can't give you a solution on the same day. This is why I recommend that you ALWAYS leave the keys in the smart lock. 3- In the kitchen drawers, we leave you everything you need for cooking and a little tea or coffee. 4- If you are making an asado: I left you a parrillero apron, but watch out for the wind and llamas! The house is 100% wooden. 5- Under the sink you find toilet paper and a bathroom floor for the exit of the shower. 6- Find trash bags under the dishwasher. When te vayas, leave the bags well tied in the dump that is outside. 7- If you need to remove waste before your departure; on the way to the village there are several containers. 8- No toilet paper boots in the WC please. Here there is no sewage, all waste goes to a pit. 9- We don't have a maid service. We are not able to change towels and sheets during your stay. 10- The keys must be kept in the smart lock, closed and with a random number combination. ENERGY: Light and electricity is 100% solar power. We project it reducing energy requirements without losing the basic amenities. We can't be responsible for the weather so, on very cloudy and rainy days, it moderates your electricity consumption. IN WINTER: When the sun has not gone out for several days, if necessary, we will support the photovoltaic panel system with an electric generator. I'm going to give you all the detailed instructions when you book us. INTERNET: We have WI-FI and be aware that there is a signal for all the phones. However, the signal is weaker than in town. HEATING: It's wood burning and we'll leave it for you. Bring splinters and/or fire splitter, they are very useful if you do not know how to set fire fast. WATER Water is mountain range, but you can drink it without a problem. GAS: Hot water and kitchen run liquefied gas. I will always leave you spare gas cylinder. Guest access The house is in the Los Columpios de Cochamó sector. It overlooks the sea and mountains, specifically the Reloncaví estuary and “Los Colulís”. From the village, go up to the “El Bosque” sector and follow the signs to get to the “Coihue de Los Columpios” (you can also search for “Casa Embarcadero” on Google Maps). Once you arrive, you'll see that there's a sector where the entrance to the swing is charged. But you'll have to let them know you're going to the house, indicating my name: “I'm going to Francisco's house”. The rental of the house INCLUDES entrance to the Coihue de Los Columpios. HOW TO GET THERE: The house is in the mountains. From the entrance to the site, it is 500 meters uphill with a steep slope. I recommend activating your car's 4x4 and going up slowly, because there will be pedestrians walking towards the swing. If you don't have a 4x4, you have to be a good driver and somewhat adventurous. In one of the photos you can see the access road, be careful because it has no gravel. For those who can't climb and still want to go to the house, I'll tell you that I coordinated with the neighbors who manage the Cochamó swing. They have several services, and one of them would be to take passengers up to the house for 5,000 pesos. Other things to note WALK WITH CAUTION: PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES Remember that you are far away and we will not be responsible for any accidents. We always check that everything is fine, but it never hurts to take some precautions: 1- Be careful with fire. If you don't know how to ignite and maintain combustion, check the instructions. Always use the tools. 2- If you run out of gas, replace it. If you don't know how, check the instructions. If you still have questions, ask me and wait for me to answer. 3- If you have a barbecue, control the flames and consider that up here there may be a lot of wind. The house is 100% wood. 4- If you're with children and teenagers, warn them of the risks of falling through the terrace mesh. a. Do not jump on the terrace netting. b. Take a good look at the edges and under the mesh c. Avoid standing upright on the mesh. Lie down or kneel, relax. d. Use the railings to get in or out of the mesh, do it carefully. 5- The house was NOT designed for children. Forbid them from opening the shower window and/or approaching the edge of the terrace. 6- On the ground there are barbed wires, plants with thorns, loose soil and a lot of slope. Walk steadily, but with caution. And obviously, don't forget to have a great time! And contact me if you have any doubts, questions, or need any tips.
