Description

Delightful cosy cottage in rural North Yorkshire. Open beams and a wood burning stove make the accommodation homely and welcoming. The cottage, named after the beck which flows through the village and my garden, is situated just outside Kilburn. Nestled below the Howardian Hills with fantastic views of the Kilburn White Horse, Twattleton Cottage is an ideal base for walking, cycling and sight seeing. The outside patio and decking area is a wonderful place to sit on an evening and pass the time. The space The cottage has a large double bedroom and a single bedroom. The bathroom also has a shower above the bath. There is one step up to the main bedroom and one step from the kitchen to the living area. Parking for a second car is also available, please ask. A BBQ can be provided for use on the patio only. Twattleton Cottage is located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and is an ideal base for anyone wanting to visit the historic market towns of Thirsk, Helmsley & Pickering. The Forresters Arms in Kilburn village (0.7 miles) serve food from 12pm and perfect if you want to visit the Robert (Mousey) Thompson visitors centre and showroom, then perhaps tackle a walk up the White Horse. A little further along is Newburgh Priory. Byland Abbey is lovely and has free entry. Guest access Access to entire cottage, patio and decking. Parking for 2 vehicles.
