Description

Explore, enjoy and relax at the Snowdrop Lodge. A private self contained Annexe. Pets on request. The space Snowdrop Lodge is situated in Cutcombe, a short stroll from Wheddon Cross, in the centre of the Exmoor National Park. There is ample parking space at the property. The accommodation is self contained, with its own entrance, so our guests can enjoy privacy, and quiet. King size bed, large shower room, lounge, kitchenette and sun room. Consisting of a living area with two seater sofa, smart TV and heating, kitchenette to one side with kettle, toaster and induction single hob. Cooking oil, salt and pepper are provided as well as a small supply of fridge goods, butter, milk and cereals. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sugar are also provided. The mini fridge and microwave are located in the sun room which guests also have sole use of. There is no freezer, but guests are welcome to use house freezer on request. In the sunroom there is a table and chairs to chill out with morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening sun. Note the sun room/ porch has space to store bikes/ muddy boots etc. The bedroom consists of a king size bed, 5ft. Quality bedding and towels are provided. The wet room has a large shower area with heated towel rail. Helpful hand rails and a shower chair can be supplied if needed. We are always happy to help with any questions. We welcome one or two small dogs, but ask that they are kept off the furniture, kept on a lead outside, and bring their own pooch bed.🐶 A short 5 min stroll from the village of Wheddon Cross, with our super Inn, The Rest and Be Thankful, with its famous Sunday Carvery, cosy log fires and excellent menu, and it’s dog friendly. The village has a large playing field, free car park and stunning views of Dunkery Beacon. There is also a well stocked shop, off licence and garage with post office and cash machine. Guest access Guests have their own access. The use of the front lawns and garden furniture. Keys will be available when arriving at the property. Other things to note We have a super network of walks straight into woodlands, valleys and farm land. An abundance of wildlife to spot and enjoy. Exmoor is famous for the wild Ponies and Red Deer that roam free on the open moors and down in the wooded valleys. The highest point in Somerset is Dunkery Beacon which is a few minutes drive away, a good little hike to the top gives you some amazing views on a clear day. Attractions nearby include the famous Doone Valley, Tarr Steps, Dunster Castle and Gardens. Horse riding at Horner and of course our very own beautiful Snowdrop Valley which blooms in February. Dulverton is a 15 min drive with some lovely little shops a co-op for supplies and a couple of very nice restaurants. Head to the coast and you’ll find the start of the South West Coast Path in Minehead. Lynton and Lynmouth are a little further down the coast into North Devon. Please note at the Lodge you’ll find a little book of things to see and do around the area. There is a bus service in Wheddon Cross.
