Our cozy and stylishly furnished holiday apartment is located in a beautiful, listed farmhouse in Kühsen – right on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. Here you will find thick, historic walls, original preserved wooden beams and an incomparable feel-good atmosphere that has been perfectly combined with modern comfort. The apartment was renovated with a lot of love for detail and impresses with an open, loft-like room concept: The apartment basically consists of a single, large room. There are no interior doors, so the historic character with the exposed beams is particularly beautifully accentuated, creating a spacious, airy living experience (only the bathroom and the hallway with a single bed are separated). Perfect for a vacation with a dog (fenced!) 🐾 We know that a vacation is only relaxing when the furry friends are in safe hands. That's why our property is completely fenced – so your dog can move freely in the outdoor area of your guest area while you relax and unwind. You can take wonderful, long walks straight from the front door. The car-free paths along the canal and the surrounding rural nature offer endless space for exploring and discovering – completely free of stress and traffic. The apartment has 1 double bed (140x200), a single bed (80x200) and the sofa as an additional sleeping option. Other things to take into account Important information about the location and construction: Since transparency is very important to us and we want your expectations to be fully met, here are a few honest details about our historic farm. From cattle barn to loft: Where you sleep comfortably today is where the farm's cattle used to be housed! We transformed the former cattle barn into this open studio with a lot of love for detail and respect for history. The great thing about it: Despite the historic charm, the apartment offers pleasantly high ceilings, which, together with the beams, creates a really spacious feeling. Traffic & Dorfstrasse: The yard is located on a village street that is busy during the day. Especially on weekends (when the weather is nice for excursions), you have to be prepared for the fact that sometimes motorcycles can be heard. If you are looking for absolute, silent seclusion, you should consider this when booking. Nature & Insects: We live here in the country and in harmony with nature. It is quite possible that ants or spiders may occasionally stray into the apartment. Despite thorough cleaning, this cannot always be avoided in such an old, rural building and is simply part of authentic country life. The surroundings (coasts & the canal) Our historic farm is located in tranquil Kühsen right on the waterway. Despite the village street, the location is an absolute highlight for active vacationers, those seeking peace and quiet, and dog owners. Right on the canal: The miles of riverside paths start practically at your door and are ideal for long walks with the dog, morning jogs or relaxing hours by the water. For cyclists: The popular long-distance bike path "Alte Salzstraße", which connects the Hanseatic cities of Lüneburg and Lübeck, leads right along here. Excursions: Thanks to the good connections, you can quickly reach beautiful excursion destinations, locks or the surrounding nature parks.
