Small 13th-century tower, renovated with exposed stonework. Stunning views of Savoie and the Grand Colombier massif. Prime and quiet location. The bedroom opens onto the original star-shaped roof structure. It is lit by 7 small windows facing 4 directions. We provide access to part of our south-facing terrace, with a small summer lounge area and sun loungers. The tower is on a property that is completely enclosed by stone walls. Hiking and mountain biking trails. The space On the ground floor, you have a single room with a kitchenette: microwave - fridge with small freezer compartment - ceramic cooktop - Nespresso coffee machine - kettle - traditional coffee maker - small raclette grill - a round table with 3 chairs and a double sofa bed that can accommodate an adult or a child. The sofa bed's mattress was replaced in 2024, but using the sofa bed requires moving the table and chairs in the evening to make room for the third bed. It's important to keep this in mind for a stay of several days. The photos help you discover the place. A panoramic balcony overlooks the Grand Colombier massif facing east, and a large window faces south and overlooks a private park on the property. On the first floor, a bedroom with a 140 cm bed opens directly onto the roof structure, which is lit by spotlights. There is a flat-screen TV with DTT reception in the room. There is an adjoining small bathroom with a sink and shower. Sheets and towels are provided free of charge at no extra cost. We just ask that you leave it clean when you check out and fold the linen. Fiber optic Wi-Fi. Very good cell phone coverage. Heating is provided by a condensing gas boiler. There are radiators on each floor and in the small bathroom. You can adjust the temperature with a thermostat. Everything is perfectly explained upon your arrival. In summer, we provide a fan during periods of intense heat, because the tower's four-sided orientation allows for very good ventilation. On the other hand, it is important to understand that you are in the middle of nature and in the countryside, so there is a rustic side to take into account. While we keep a reasonable price per night and do not charge for cleaning or the supply of sheets or towels, and while we provide the basic necessities in the kitchen, do not expect super luxury. Some people ask us for air conditioning, to not hear the sound of the fountain, or to escape the insects at night in the summer! We can't fix that... Guest access You can park in front of the tower. Private parking. All shops are a ten-minute drive away. Virieu-le-Grand train station offers a direct TER (regional train) connection to Lyon; it is a 1-hour walk and a 30-minute bike ride away. Other things to note We will provide you with a list of all on-site amenities, restaurants, places of interest, and on-site hiking maps. Hiking trails start from the village of Belmont. The village of Belmont is very quiet. Our guests in 2025 and 2026 told us that the locals were very welcoming. You can reach Lake Aix-les-Bains, the beach and the port of Conjux in under 30 minutes, as well as the Savières Canal and the village of Chanaz. For cycling enthusiasts, the Grand Colombier is nearby. You can store your bikes safely on our property. Mountain bikes can be rented at Plans d'Hotonnes, and road bikes at the Chanaz base.
