Exuma Point is located at one end of the island so it is relatively quiet; however, there are a few small convenience stores, liquor stores, bars and restaurants nearby. We are just 12 minutes from Sandals Resort and Grand Isles Resort; approximately 20 minutes from Exuma International Airport; and 30 minutes from the capital, George Town. There are two private clinics located in Farmer's Hill (15 minutes) and George Town (30 minutes) along with a main government health facility in George Town (30 minutes). A commercial bank is located in George Town; however, there are ATM machines at the Grand Isle's Marina (12 minutes) and at the airport. The Bahamas is a Christian nation; hence, there are a number of churches throughout the island including six small ones of various denominations right in Rolleville. There is also a small primary school (Kindergarten - Grade 3) in the settlement. Teachers welcome visitors. Local straw bags can be purchased from Yvonne in the settlement and a larger variety along with souvenirs at the island's Straw Market in George Town. Ask for Devon in Rolleville if you want a fresh catch to prepare for dinner. Visit Big D's in nearby Steventon (8 minutes) for a fresh bowl of conch salad. It is highly recommended that you rent a car while in Exuma as the island is spread out. Car rentals are available at the airport and can cost $70-$80 per day. Remember to drive on the left side of the road while in The Bahamas.
