Detached house, lots of privacy & large garden

This detached studio is strategically located amidst ancient nature reserves such as the Reestdal and the Mantingerveld. The hiking and cycling routes literally start at the door! Enjoy the garden, the luxurious bathroom, the BBQ and the large comfortable bed. Take a nap in the hammock, roll out a yoga mat or go to the sauna nearby. The room is bright and warm in winter but nice and cool in summer. Heat up the outdoor stove and dream away under the starry sky. The space The studio is actually a complete 2-room apartment. It has a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom. Ideal if you are traveling with a little one who still takes afternoon nap or goes to bed early. You have your own front door and a sliding door that directly adjoins your garden. In the living room, you will find a handy kitchenette with electric stove and combi oven/microwave. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, and the bedroom has a wardrobe, two yoga mats, two meditation cushions and an optional crib. The comfortable 180 cm wide bed has a fantastic mattress and an extra wide duvet of 240 cm. The space is heated or cooled by an energy-efficient Mitsubishi Inverter (winter heating and summer air conditioning). There are no less than 18 solar panels on the roof. Do you want to work? The studio has lightning-fast WiFi, and we are happy to put a desk chair in front of you. The key can easily be found in the lock box by the door. Guest access You have access to the entire house and can enjoy your own detached home with its own entrance, garden and terrace. Privacy is guaranteed! On your private terrace, there is a picnic table, two loungers, rocking chairs, an outdoor stove and a hammock. You also have your own vegetable garden box, where you can harvest herbs and, depending on the season, fresh strawberries, chard and lettuce. In addition, you are welcome in our garden. Here you will find a large lawn for sports or yoga, a toad pool, and organic fruit trees and shrubs everywhere. The grounds are teeming with life: all kinds of birds, hares, owls, storks, deer, wild pheasants, hedgehogs – we have even seen cranes and a mandarin duck here! Other things to note What is included in the nightly rate: - We rent the studio to a maximum of two adults (or an adult and a child). So there is no sleeping space for a third person. Unless this third person is a baby under two years old, who is more than welcome and we have all the stuff for that. - Tourist tax: as a tourist, you must pay tourist tax as soon as you come to celebrate your holiday in our municipality. We're not going to bother you with that on your vacation. Our nightly price therefore includes tourist tax. - For the little ones: bed, high chair, bath, toilet seat reducer, step stool - Clean towels whenever and as often as you want - Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video and NL Ziet - Are you coming for more than a week? Or do your sheets need to be changed sooner? Then you will receive clean bedding in between. You will have to change your bed yourself and return the dirty bedding to me. There is no washing machine in the studio, but there are laundromats about 15 minutes away. Why is the studio called Shoshin? ShoShin is a concept from Zen Buddhism, which has become known through Shunryu Suzuki. He wrote a book – "Zen mind, beginner's mind" – in which he talks about the importance of an open mind and attitude, in whatever you do. Look at everything through the eyes of a child, without opinion and prejudice, then you learn the most. From that vision, we have come to live in the countryside, and from that vision, we want you to enjoy our space, the tranquility, the animals and the beautiful starry sky. We garden according to the rhythm of nature and the position of the moon, and that moon: you can really see it here! There is so much "air" around you without all the buildings and lighting of the city. We have been living here since 2020 and are still amazed. Looking at the world in this way, that's what calms every human being.
