Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A light and airy space, in a house surrounded by nature - woodland all around and becks flowing on two sides. There's parking, with a private entrance to the flat. Views front and back to the garden and decking - a great spot for bird-watching! There are plenty of walks around, with Staithes village & harbour just a 20-30 minute walk or 5-6 minute drive away. See room descriptions for more detail of what the flat holds. The space Woods & Water is a flat at one end of a secluded bungalow - Beck Meetings Lodge. The accommodation is a double bedroom, comfy sitting room with kitchenette (including kettle, fridge, toaster, air fryer and electric hob), and shower room (toilet, basin and electric shower), with outdoor seating and BBQ on a deck area overlooking the garden and one of the becks (streams). You are welcome to bring in takeaway food or even fire up the BBQ, and clever combining of the microwave, hob and air fryer can achieve all sorts! There is parking at the front of the property, with a type-2 EV charger. Phone signal here is limited (EE seems to work best) but if your phone can use wi-fi assisted calling you'll be able to dial normally, or of course use app-based calling through wifi. This is also a perfect base for exploring further afield. To the south we have Runswick Bay, (3 miles/8 minutes drive), and Whitby 20 minutes drive, whilst heading north you'll find Skinningrove (15 minutes) and Saltburn (20 minutes). All have fabulous beaches, and each has its own character and special attractions, which you can find more about online or on arrival. Guest access Woods & Water comprises a double bedroom, shower room and sitting room with kitchenette, as well as the outdoor seating area with BBQ. You will have a parking space (with EV charger) and private entrance with key box. The property is easy to access for someone with limited mobility, via the ramp and step-free entrance. Inside, everything is on one level but the bathroom is not accessible for a wheelchair. Either Jim (my husband) or I will greet you on arrival and show you where everything is, and answer any questions you may have. Once settled in you're welcome to come and go as you like, making the most of our wonderful location to explore the area either on foot or by car. Other things to note All our drainage and waste goes into a septic tank system. This is not able to handle anything except natural and water waste, and toilet paper. Sanitary products, tissues, wipes etc must not be put down the toilet - please "bag it and bin it", using the bags and bin provided in the bathroom. Whilst the flat is smoke and pet-free*, we will not object if you wish to smoke or vape outside.
