An idyllic little log cabin with a sauna by a pond. The ecological cottage is located close to the local road, but still in its own peace. You can see weather permitting the Northern Lights from your own yard, as well as meet northern animals like a squirrel, a reindeer, or a rabbit. Located about an hour drive from Rovaniemi Airport in a scenic little village. Husky safaris in winter just a couple of minutes away. A place that's a good fit for you who appreciates the peace of nature. Suitable for cottage rentals all year round. One room and a small bedroom, sauna. It is possible to borrow snowshoes in the winter. Laavu and good hiking opportunities nearby. Guest access Cottage, barn Other things to note Please note that the cottage has a kitchen and toilet without “running” water (we bring water for drinking and washing). Dishes need to be hand washed. Washing water can be heated in the sauna's kettle, so you'll need to take a little more effort to bathe. It happens in a traditional Finnish way with a bucket and a bucket. Heating the sauna and water is an experience worth enjoying :) The nearest shop is about 20 km away (village shop Piimätie's shop) or about 50km (Sinetta K-Market), about 50 km (bigger market on the Swedish side, Ylitornio or Pello or Rovaniemi). A private or rental car is necessary due to the location. Rental cars, among others, Rental Cars and GoMore. The only public bus drives to Rovaniemi and back once a day on weekdays just past the cottage. Also transfer from the airport possible, ask for more. There is also a company offering various excursions, such as the Northern Lights, near the cottage. The pond is deep and has a muddy bottom. The cottage rental includes a sup board where you can paddle on the pond.
