Steps from Downtown Victoria's bustling shops, bars and restaurants, and minutes from several winter attractions it's an ideal location for short, mid and long term stays. The intimate, cozy, retro interior is ready to welcome you. Complete with a spacious heated 2-car garage and mudroom you'll be set for your nearby fall and winter activities. The entire home interior was renovated in February 2024 and has central air and heat. Each room is outfitted with new bedding, decor and furniture that honors the charm and character of the original 1900 house. The elevated vintage design in each room provides a comfortable and luxurious backdrop for your stay. It is hard to miss the large fully-stocked kitchen and coffee bar on the main level. Just past the kitchen you can nestle up on the sectional couch in the living room and enjoy movies on the 65 inch TV, or get some work done at the workstation. Adjacent is the dining room with a large harvest table suitable for games, puzzles, visiting, and of course, dining! Walk through the original double swing door back into the kitchen to freshen up your drinks. Visit the breakfast and coffee nook to find our single Keurig coffee maker (K-cups) with some complementary pods and oatmeal packets to warm up your morning. Off the front of the house is a 3-season porch perfect for that cup of morning coffee, game of chess, or just a place to lounge in the afternoon. The mudroom off the back of the kitchen is the perfect place to drop your shoes and coats. Up the staircase you'll find the living quarters with three fully renovated bedrooms and a huge bathroom with walk-in shower, soaker tub, double sink vanity and full laundry units. The primary bedroom is fit with a king bed, workstation, and walk-in closet. The middle bedroom has a queen bed, walk in closet and dresser, and the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and closet. Traveling with kids, children, toddlers or babies? We've got a Pack and Play for your family's convenience. The third bedroom is complete with a bunk bed, kid’s books, a sound machine, and blackout curtains. Working remotely or traveling for work? We’ve got two dedicated workstations with fast WiFi. Guests have loved Heron House for girls weekends, guys golf weekends, wedding night stays, visiting family, sporting events, and temporary housing while moving to or from the area. Why is it called Heron House? Herons have long been symbols of nobility and patience, and we are lucky that they grace Minnesota's lakes and rivers in the Summer. Our family has transposed this meaning into the Heron House. May you have a luxurious and peaceful stay. Guest access During your stay guests can use the entire house, spacious two-car garage, and backyard. The only exception is a utility room in the basement that is typically locked and the only room that is not accessible. Guests can enter the garage, front, and back of the house with a keypad and unique keyless entry code provided ahead of your stay. Other things to note Pack and play available upon request. If you are interested in our property but have a pet, please let us know. We currently don't allow pets but are considering what this could look like in the future. Month long stays (28 days+) require a mid-stay clean that the guest pays for (in other words, a second cleaning fee) of $180. Great for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and all holiday celebrations to gather with family.
