Welcome to our quirky detached self-catering cottage, nestled in a peaceful woodland setting adjacent to a dramatic gorge and river. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge (fully fenced garden) ... with miles of hill and forest walks available straight from the door. Foyers village is located in the Highlands, on the quiet southern banks of world famous Loch Ness. [NB - as from April 2026 the price shown is now inclusive of ABnB's Guest Booking Charge of 15%] The space The cottage is open plan apart from bathroom. Park at rear of cottage and enter via side gate which leads to garden. The french doors will be left unlocked. They open open into a tiled porch with seat and space for extra logs and storage for outdoor footwear. Continue through to kitchen with small pine table and chairs, fridge freezer and washing machine. Cooking area has an electric oven/grill, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, cafetière, kettle. Full range of cooking utensils, pans, dishes are provided, plus cutlery, serving dishes and crockery. This leads through to bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table with mirror. Hairdryer and iron are in wardrobe, ironing board to side. Vacuum cleaner is under bed. To the left is the TV snug with sofa, coffee table, TV, and log burner. The shower room is also accessed from the bedroom and has an electric towel rail. We provide bed linen, throws and towels, hand towel, tea towels and dish cloths, hand soap and 2 toilet rolls, starter supply of general cleaning products, dishwasher tablets - we prefer guests to use the dishwasher so supply products for duration of stay. The garden has various seating areas - bench table with parasol, BBQ, firepit with wooden chairs, sun loungers. The garden has adequate room for dogs with miles of walking available directly from cottage. The garden area itself has no shrubs or flowers re many being poisonous to dogs and wildlife. We also follow No Mow May to help feed the bees, so there will be dandelions, daisy's and buttercups growing in our rustic gardens. If you are interested in wildlife we recommend leaving nuts and sunflower seeds out on the patio in the evening - you'll be joined by badgers, pine martens, hedgehogs and deer. The area outside the bathroom window is left wild and every year has nesting birds and hedgehogs - frogs, newts and slowworms also have been seen. Guest access The cottage has it's own private entry with lockable gate. Parking is directly outside. Access to cottage is at the rear of the property and the door will be unlocked on arrival. You have use of the entire cottage and small fully fenced garden set in amongst beech, birch and oak trees. Accessed through a gate at the end of the garden is a small wooded area and gorge with a 100ft drop. Stunning views of the gorge and river can be enjoyed from the bench table available for guest use at any time. [ Please note the 100ft drop is at the far edge of the area beyond the gate. We recommend initially keeping dogs on leash.] Other things to note Heating is included via electric radiators plus a log burner in TV room. We provide a basket of logs for your arrival if you would like more logs we have small or large bags available to purchase from us at the cost of £5 or £10 payable by cash only at the time of supply. We supply coffee and tea, salt and pepper, and other ingredients left by previous guests which may come in handy, but please remember, it is self- catering so please bring food and any cooking ingredients you may require during your stay. PARKING - is free and there's plenty of room for car/van/motorhome plus trailer for bikes/kayaks or boat. The village doesn't have a Petrol Station. The nearest place to get fuel is Fort Augustus or Tesco at Ness Side, Inverness. Foyers Stores is just a short walk uphill or few minutes drive away - you'll find all the basics you will need.
