Guest access Upon arrival, guests will be granted seamless entry into the Bali Spirit Earthship through a digital, smart lock system. The unique access code will be provided on the morning of the scheduled check-in, ensuring a hassle-free and secure experience. It is worth noting that the Bali Spirit Earthship stands out as one of the larger structures within the Greater World Community. This exceptional Earthship comprises two rental units arranged in a duplex-style layout. Each unit offers complete privacy, including their own individual yard, while sharing a common driveway for convenient parking. To guarantee optimal comfort and tranquility, the wall separating the two units is constructed with a remarkably thick tire/concrete structure. Other things to note Note: There are two king beds, one bunk bed in the master bedroom and there's two additional twin pull out beds with memory foam mattress. We typically setup the pull-outs in the living room/dining room folded up. That area has the most space for sleeping. This listing can accommodate 8 people. There is clean, filtered drinking water captured from rain/snow available however it is also helpful to bring some water to help conserve what we have stored. This is off-grid living; if you are unfamiliar with this term then I suggest googling about it as well as "Earthships" in general. It should come as no surprise that there is no air conditioner or thermostat to regulate the temperature. This Earthship is specifically designed to naturally regulate temperature, eliminating the need for a thermostat or air conditioner. Thanks to its innovative design and the use of thermal mass and passive solar heating, the home maintains a comfortable temperature year-round. I've even found this home to be more efficient than my own home in Denver. In our Earthship, we utilize a grey water system to flush toilets and water the greenhouse plants, which is part of our commitment to sustainability. Greywater is gently used water from your bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, and washing machines. This means the water in the toilets may have a yellow tint. While greywater, used for flushing the toilet, may look “dirty,” it is safe and I assure you everything is clean. The captivating setting of the Greater World Community is nestled a mere 20 minutes away from the vibrant town of Taos. Situated at 6,800 feet above sea level, this rural high desert region boasts breathtaking mountain vistas and an enchanting natural environment. The climate in Taos is characterized by extreme temperatures, with scorching summers and chilly winters. However, even during the coldest winter months, the region is blessed with abundant sunshine. This unique weather pattern allows residents and visitors alike to revel in the splendor of the great outdoors and immerse themselves in the expansive, crystal-clear skies that grace the area. Note on Pricing: The base rate covers up to 2 guests, allowing couples or smaller groups to enjoy the space at an affordable price. For groups larger than 2, there is an additional charge of $25 per guest per night.
