Getting There: LA MAISON DE MER Beach Resort is located about 2.5 to 3 hours from Manila. You can easily reach us by car or opt for public transportation to Lobo town proper. Via Ibaan Star Toll Gate: • Exit at Ibaan Star Toll Gate and pass through Batangas-Ibaan Road, then turn left onto Star Tollway Bypass Road, then follow the map directions. 2. Via Batangas City Toll: • Option A: From the Batangas City Toll, turn left onto San Jose-Ibaan Road beside SM Hypermarket Batangas. • Option B: Turn right onto the Star Tollway Bypass Road, about 2 km from the SM Hypermarket, then follow the map directions. • Challenge: Expect a longer trip with winding, roller-coaster-like roads, but it’s generally a faster drive. 2 Ways to Reach the Resort from Lobo Proper: 1. Via Malabrigo Lighthouse: • Take the route passing through the historic Malabrigo Lighthouse. • Challenge: The roads become narrow after the lighthouse, with a rough, unpaved stretch of about 1 km, making driving a bit difficult. 2. Via Calabarzon: • Opt for the Calabarzon Road, which is under construction. • Challenge: While the road is longer and not fully paved, it offers an adventurous drive with breathtaking views of Verde Island. This route is best enjoyed during a daytime trip. Guest access The resort can be reached by descending a set of stairs from the Barangay road, approximately 10-15 meters, as it is situated at the foot of the mountain. We offer overnight parking for guests beside the fish port, which also serves as a beachfront. For added convenience, guests and seniors have the option to take a flat pebbled pathway through a right of way leading to the resort or access it via the beachfront. However, due to the presence of stairs and pebbled paths, the resort may not be easily accessible for wheelchair users.
