Description
Cozy skipper's house on Levanghalvøya with large outdoor area (10 acres) and long beach line. This is a country house with very special facilities: A waterfall flows through the plot where you can take the morning shower, beautiful outdoor areas, many private bathing areas, as well as a number of beds that provide room for several families to vacation together. This is a place with a lot of history in the walls: Both Christian and Oda Krogh have had it as a holiday resort and have painted many pictures from here of the coastal life at Kragerø. The space Bjelkevik is a unique place with many nice outdoor areas and several houses in addition to the main building. It is a short distance by boat to Kragerø city center (10 min) and a walk to Stabbestad where there is a restaurant and ice cream kiosk (40 min). In this cabin there is not a high standard of facilities that many are accustomed to. The cabin has running water from the Bjelkevik water which works fine for washing and cooking, but because we do not check the water quality, you get drinking water from the jetty in Kragerø or at Stabbestad. There is an outhouse/compost toilet in a building of older standard located 20 meters from the main house. It is a 10-minute walk on a path through the woods from the parking lot to the cabin, but if you have a lot of luggage you can be picked up by boat at Stabbestad/take a taxi boat. One must be aware that this is a cottage from 1850, and not a modern house. The cabin will be upgraded in the spring of 2024, but it will still bear the mark of being an older house. In addition to the main house, there are two annexes that can be used for accommodation, a playhouse, a workshop and a boathouse. There are several nice, private swimming areas on the property, a private jetty, and a beach for the little ones. Great fishing opportunities in salt and fresh water. Boat trips in Kragerøskjærgården is a nice activity. For an additional sum of NOK 1,500 it is possible to rent an older Askeladden with outboard motor (requires a boat license). In addition, there is a rowboat that you can use free of charge. In the main house there is a bathroom with shower and sink, and an outdoor shower at the basement entrance, as well as an outdoor toilet/compost toilet. This is for you who want a cabin atmosphere and do not expect hotel standards. In the basement, there is also a freezer, washing machine and dryer. Guest access The Pink Room: Middle room on the ground floor with a large double bed and space for a crib. Lake view and sink. The Blue Room: Corner room on the ground floor behind the kitchen with two large windows overlooking the lake, a double bed and sink. The dormitory: A large bedroom on the 2nd floor with four single beds (can also be put together to one or two double beds. Lake view. The Sea Room: A lovely bedroom on the second floor, with a double bed and sea view. The Red Room: A cozy bedroom on the 2nd floor with a double bed and evening sun. Can also be converted into two single beds. On the second floor there is also a large single bed in the middle room that can be used. Annex: A bedroom with a double bed, and a small living room with a sofa bed. Simple kitchen with stove, fridge with freezer and sink. Simple standard. The Cannon House: A small house by the stream, with four beds, fridge and electricity, no running water inside. Very simple standard, but nice for young people who get their own small house. In addition to the kitchen, there is a TV room with sofa and armchairs, a middle room that can serve as an office overlooking the fjord, and a larger living room with dining table with space for 12 people, and a seating area - both with sea views. A lovely west-facing patio with benches and tables where you can sit until the sun goes down. Breakfast is often taken on the terrace on the other side of the house, also with room for 12-20. Other things to note This is a place for lazy days in beautiful surroundings, with a short distance to swimming and water games. Nice hiking trails run right behind the cabin, and many prefer a run to Rapentangen if the days get long. Kragerø's archipelago is nice to explore for those who are used to boats, or you can take the ferry from Stabbestad to Skåtøy or Jomfruland. On the plot there are plenty of blueberries, cherries, raspberries, pears and wild strawberries. The outdoor areas have several hammocks, a large jetty to sunbathe on, and a lot of space for outdoor activities for all ages. Pets are generally allowed, with the exception of cats due to allergies.
