Casa Milena Gelso Room
Casa Milena Gelso Room
Description
The room is located on the fourth floor. With its small balcony (accessible from the bathroom) and tall windows, it offers a bright and light-filled atmosphere. The room is equipped with a double bed, a single bed and a private bathroom in the room. The space The Art Nouveau building was designed by the architect Ernesto Basile, famous, among other things, for having designed the Teatro Massimo. Located in the historic center, it is very close to the central station (about 400 meters). From here, it's very easy to discover the city's beauty, immerse yourself in its history and appreciate the amazing Sicilian cuisine. You will be a short walk from the Quattro Canti, the charming fountain in Piazza Pretoria, the historic Ballarò market, most of the city's attractions and the ever-bustling nightlife. With a small elevator you reach the fourth floor where there are two of the three rooms of the property, a third room is reached via a few steps. In the hallway, there is a small refrigerator where you can keep your drinks cool. I live upstairs, and I am happy to welcome you and (if you wish) to interact during your stay. In addition to the room, guests can take advantage of the terrace that offers a suggestive view of the rooftops of the city of Palermo overlooking the sea. During your stay Milena lives on the fifth floor of the building. She had already rented out her room from time to time during her (design) studies in Germany, in Cologne, and since then she has enjoyed welcoming guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere for them. Being Italian by choice, she loves cultural differences and is happy to exchange ideas. As Mark Twain said, "There's nothing wrong with setting goals, as long as you don't stop yourself from making interesting detours," and I can certainly give you some interesting advice for detours. I like to travel and I love the encounter between cultures, stories and ideas, because in the end I think these are also precious moments that you take home and that make a trip interesting!
