The Grain Dryer, Harrington.

This is a converted barn in rural Northants. The most memorable thing is the view!! It sits in isolation with no neighbours for a mile but looks out over miles of uninterrupted countryside. The barn has a 5 acre paddock on which there are 9 friendly sheep and has a huge patio from which to view the beauty of the surroundings. To the side there is a pergola and seating looking over the side field. 5/6 beds including one downstairs for those with mobility problems. The space The photos say it all! The most common comment from guests is that the photos don’t do it justice once seen in person! There are multiple spaces for recreation inside and out including the games room for guests who would like activities but also quieter areas including the office and snug should you want some quieter times. The bedrooms are all spacious (no box room!) and the master is very large with en suite and a sofa. Obviously the kitchen/diner is kitted out with all necessary appliances for those with a culinary interest including two ovens, a large induction hob and all the pots and pans to go with it. The utility has an air fryer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Guest access This is a listing for the entire house. We are on hand if there are problems but we don't anticipate any. Other things to note The house is equidistant from Arthingworth and Harrington both approx a mile away. Both have a village pub, The Tollemache Arms which has won multiple awards over the years for food and service and the Bulls Head in Arthingworth, a local style pub with a good food offer. You can walk onto the Brampton Valley Way from the house which is the old Market Harborough to Northampton train line converted into a walking/cycle trail including some tunnels!! Torch essential! Warners Distillery in Harrington produce gin and have gin tours if you might be interested. The Harrington Air Museum also worth a look about a mile and a half away. All these venues will need to be booked in advance as get booked up very quickly! The other way from Arthingworth and Harrington is Kelmarsh. Kelmarsh Hall is a local attraction providing 'a fabulous day out for all the family' according to their website. Four miles further on is Market Harborough an exceptionally lovely old market town with tea rooms, pubs, supermarkets and lots of interesting independent shops and boutiques. A new feature has just been added to the patio, which is a large pizza oven. This can be used by guests and Timber is supplied for the purpose of lighting it. All you need is pizza dough and some toppings!
