Casa Juan del Barrio is a modern stylish, spacious villa with two beach cottages and a pool located at the Maite Marine sanctuary, perfect for beach leisure, snorkeling, sunsets and relaxation in the swimming pool. It contains 9 comfortable units, AC, TV in all bedrooms and several kitchens. Holidays are more fun when shared with family members or friends, we recommend renting the entire place (all 9 units together) which could accommodate 22 people (18 adults+4 ch.), to enjoy private holidays. The space Each room is designed for comfort and easy access to the white sandy beach and inviting blue sea and the relaxing swimming pool. Be aware that during 3 days after new-moon, there is a swimming, snorkeling and diving ban in the area!. Each unit has its own private terrace and its own toilet and bathroom with hot/cold shower and equipped with TV set installed with Netflix and Premium Youtube , working desk, a fridge, an air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. We strive to satisfy our guest requirement for remote working. Each room has stable internet by connecting to Starlink through a WIFI mesh. The photovoltaic system with batteries reduces power outages to a minimum, we also installed a pressure tank and pump to improve the shower experience. All beds are either king-size beds (75 by 72 inch / 191 by 182 cm), or twin beds (75 by 36 inch / 191 by 91 cm). The twin beds can be rearranged and prepared so they also become king size beds. The only exception is the children’s room (in the apartment). One bunk bed has matrasses of 75 by 36 inch / 191 by 91 cm; the other bunk bed has shorter matrasses of 69 by 36 inch / 175 by 91 cm) The MAIN BUILDING (VILLA) has a studio, a two-bedroom apartment and one room on the upper floor, and two rooms on the ground floor, as well as a common area, including kitchen. VILLA - UPPER FLOOR: Apartment, Studio, Room 4. occupants need to use the stairs. The apartment consists of a big terrace (26 sqm), a living room merging with dining area and kitchen, a master bedroom (king size bed) with bathroom and a children’s room with bathroom which can sleep 4 in the 2 bunkbeds (2 for children, 2 could be adults). The total living space of the apartment, including the spacious terrace is 87 sqm. The studio has a comfortable king-size bed. It includes a kitchen and a terrace space. The total area of the studio is 42 sqm (including a terrace of 10 sqm). The studio is located on the upper floor and has its own entrance. Villa Room 4 is good for 2 persons (maximum) and has an area of 30 sqm, which includes bathroom and the terrace of 10 sqm . It has two comfortable twin beds which can be arranged as one double bed if requested. VILLA – GROUND FLOOR: Room 1 and Room 2. Room 1 and Room 2 are facing the pool and the pool deck. Their terraces are transitioning into the deck and grounds around the pool, which can be considered common area. Room 1 has an area of 33 Sqm, which includes 9 sqm terrace, Room 2 has 33 sqm, including 6 sqm terrace Villa Rooms 1 and 2 have two comfortable twin beds. The twin beds can be arranged as one double bed if requested. Each room is good for two persons, but additional guests (maximum 1 person) can be accommodated if requested upon booking. The additional guest needs a floor mattress at 20 USD/person/night to be paid on site. BEACH COTTAGES – guests have to climb 2 steps. The guesthouse has 4 identical rooms in 2 beach cottages right at the beah, equipped with comfortable furniture, each having an area of 31 square meters, including a private terrace of 8 square meters. Each room has en-suite toilet and bathroom with hot/cold shower. It also has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. Two rooms have a comfortable king-size double bed (75 by 72 inch / 191 by 182 cm), the two other rooms have each two comfortable twin beds (75 by 36 inch / 191 by 91 cm). The twin beds can be arranged as one double bed if requested. Each room is good for two persons, but additional guests (maximum 1 person/room) can be accommodated if requested upon booking. The additional guest needs a floor mattress at 20 USD/person/night to be paid on site. Common Space: Casa Juan del Barrio is located at the Maite Marine Sanctuary. You can swim in the sea during high tide only, during low tide the sea is too shallow. If you venture a bit farther into the sea, snorkeling is spectacular. You will need to pay a small fee to the cooperative managing the sanctuary when you snorkel in the sanctuary. Casa Juan del Barrio has a swimming pool of 10 x 4 m for the use of all the guests. Our guesthouse features a picnic table on the beach, great to hang out and for eating/drinking. We encourage our guests to share space and gain new friends. There is also a common kitchen and a grilling area for guests who prefer to do their own cooking. For our guests’ convenience, we have menu cards in each room and guests can order food/drinks from our partner Luca-Loko restaurant, which is situated across the street. Many other nearby restaurants also provide food deliveries. Please ask our staff for assistance.
